I just watched this movie last night (I am a tad behind on my movie, I know) and I was HORRIFIED by Christian Bale's body.

HOLY CRAP...It was revolting. Does anyone know how in the world he managed to get so skinny.

I cannot believe anyone would be willing to damage his/her body in that manner simply for a movie role....

He actually didn't damage himself at all, believe it or not. He consulted doctors and nutritionists and safely dieted down to the lowest possible weight for his height. And as his body in Batman Begins would attest, he's sure fighting fit now!

That said, I felt ill looking at him in Machinist.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

I wasn't being bitchy, darling, just informative. Calme-toi.

Anyway, I saw it for the first time a couple months ago, and my first thought, sadly, was "Jesus, how did he do that? I wonder if *I* could do that...I'd be able to wear ANYTHING!"

The end of the movie messed me up in the head, though...very well written plot twist, I never saw it coming. (then again, I was tipsy when I saw the film...)

..it was a great movie..I was just so repulsed by that bod...

I simply cannot get past it...
