Same showrunner from Rosie's show coming to work with Megan Mullally.
I suspect it will be an instant hit and cannot wait to watch. Hopefully it will be shot in New York so that (if she opts to, which I think she will), Broadway shows can come and perform.
Regardless, YAY for Megan! She's my favorite part of the WILL & GRACE show and she has a great personality. This fits her so well!
I think it has been established that her show will shoot in LA.
Edited for link to an October article (see 2nd paragraph).

I think this is a waste of her talent. She should be starring in a sitcom, movie or Broadway show.
I'm not sure I'd call it a waste of her talent.....but there are soooo many talk shows...and soooo many fail. I would love to see her back on Broadway sometime. But let's face it, she can make a hell of a lot more money with a successful talk show. I hope she does it.
How can this be a waste of her talent? This show will be seen by FAR more people than a Broadway show would be. If anything her talent is being utilized in a medium which can be appreciated and accepted by millions each day.

She's pretty, she's funny and she has a great singing voice.
How can sitting on a sofa blabbing with stars about their next movie be a good use of her talent?
I'm so working on this when production starts up - she just doesn't know it yet!
I remember her interviewing Madonna a few years ago. Didn't leave an impression on me. She has much more dynamism as an actor than host.
If her talk-show appearances are any indication of what her chat-style will be like, this show won't last very long. She's kinda boring. I prefer her in character as to out.
It's Karen Walker who needs a show!
But, I really adore her--would like to see her become the new Bette--but with Broadway roles and a more legit film career.

Im happy for her, she deserves it, its a nice change of pace from Will and Grace, I mean come on, the woman has been working her ass of on that show, making it really funny is a hard job.
Im sorry, it really should be called Jack and Karen instead of Will and Grace- although Will is very funny.
Give her a chance. She seems to have some very creative ideas for the show. Plus she mentioned there will be musical elements!!
I would love to see her show succeed, but I bet it is going to be rather short lived.
I just love her.
'Nuff said.

It doesn't say in either of the articles, but will her show be mainly celebrity guests? The only successful talk show launches in the last ten years or so have been Rosie and Ellen -- most other come and go quickly. My guess is because those two dealt primarily with Hollywood/celebrities/etc. and didn't focus too much on the my man is cheating/my child is huge/my child could be my cousin's husband's brother-in-law's father genre.
I with Megan good things -- I'd love to see her show succeed.
People will tune in, expecting to see 'Karen'. If you've seen Megan in interviews before, you can see she's NOTHING like the character she plays, and I think that will disappoint a lot of people.
I LOVE her, and hope it flies!
She is a very funny lady though and Ellen proves to us that sells.
She is very funny as Karen. And I must say that I love her. I saw her last year at the Allen Room in concert and she was fantastic.....and she was funny. But her Megan funny is much different than her Karen. In real life she is very dry. I'm not sure most of America can appreciate that. I still hope she does well though.
