I was hoping for a more primitive simple look. Also, if they are cadets why are they in officer uniforms? I am too much of a trekie to not be excited about it.Still, I was hoping for a hint of the original series. The design of the new enterprise really made me sad.Looks more advanced than the Enterprise from the series.

I think it looks kickass.
It's a complete reboot of the whole series--I don't think comparing it to the original is going to be very easy at times.

I love the trailer, though I do agree about the bridge, it just doesn't feel right. It looks like a Mac store, it's so bright and white. Otherwise, I'm glad they took into consideration that so much of the "future tech" is here right now, so they had to re-think how they're looking at the future.
Oh, and it was pretty cool seeing Winona Ryder again.

Posted: 11/17/08 at 4:15pmMaybe I was being unrealistic but I was hoping for a similar pattern of the original series style. All pastel blues and and blacks and royal red. Green and purple 60's esque gels in the lighting and that almost boxy look to everything. I hate trailers where they have these fast edits but thats no fault to the film really. I am looking forward to this film. Still, JJ Abrams in my opinion ruined Cloverfield,Alias, and the last Mission Impossible film.Lost seems to be the one thing he has not screwed up yet.I am hoping I walk out of the theatre next summer loving this film.

I can't imagine being so wrapped up in something as to give some of the responses given here and elsewhere.
Are you kidding me?
It's as if Ms. Lupone was involved.
God forbid.

So, I guess Paramount has pulled the trailer and added this new one. Its more or less the identical trailer however, they added one more scene which, in my opinion, makes it Star Trek to me. It sent chills down my spine. So, Watch the almost identical trailer again for the new scene that has been added.
