Hey everyone how were your days today? Mine wasn't so great. We had this student voting thing today, and all of my 'friends' asked who I would vote for. I said I would vote for Kerry because he was the lesser of the 2 evils. Of couse, that is an extremely dangerous thing to say in Texas, especially to a bunch of teens who really don't know what they are talking about and have a my-parents-are-voting-republican-I-must-think-that-way-even-though-I-have-no-idea-what-I'm-believing frame of mind. So naturally, they bit my head off. I told them that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and that maybe they should do some research and form their own (which yea I was sort of provoking them) and they got SO MAD at me it was crazy. I asked them what they liked about Bush. They said that they were pro-life and agreed with the way he handled the war, good reasons in my opinion. If they had stopped there, it would have been fine. But no, they proceded to tell me that 'Bush is a good christian and God helps him make his decisions' and that 'Gay people shouldn't be allowed to marry'. WELL I TRIED to just let it all just roll of my shoulder but I really couldn't sit there and listen to them diss gays/lesbians like that because I have many friends who are homosexual. They proceded to tell me that I am a 'fag hag' or probably gay myself, and that people choose to be gay and are all going to hell. GAAAAH I WANT TO SLAP THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
::deep breath::
I really can't stand this. Now they are all MAD AT ME because they asked me who I would vote for and I told them. There are no words that can express my total anger that kids are obviously just repeating what their parents say. Especially when that involves thinking that gay people are devil's spawn and arguing that there are many verses in the bible stating so yet refuse to bring a bible to school to personally show me. I just want to strangle them all! I don't care if you disagree with me but you can at least show me the same respect that I showed you and LISTEN TO ME and maybe even ::gasp:: keep an OPEN MIND!
sheesh.
Here in this cold white room tied up to these machines, it's hard to imagine life as it used to be. Laughing, screaming, tumbling queen... Like the most amazing light show you've ever seen. Whirling, swirling, never blue... How could you go and die? What a selfish thing to do...
