That's probably why I don't know him; I started watching The O.C. for the last few episodes, which he wasn't in.
I just started watching it too since SoapNet are airing the repeats. I surprisingly really like it!
My friends were really into the OC because of Adam Brody (rolls eyes.); never quite got the appeal of him.
I don't think he is attractive but he is cheek pinching adorable on the show.
So, I just did my weekly ticketmaster search for ticket availability on July 30, still plenty to choose from so far.
I was out voted 3 to 1 with my friends on what our favorite show was: theirs, The O.C. So I started watching in the later part of the last season and was pretty interested. Once I saw some Season 1 episodes and may have seen Tate, but I can't remember. Of course, now that Tate happens to be associated with Adam he's going to pop up everywhere.
I'm half-surprised that tickets aren't selling out for Adam and Anthony. I also half expected it, because of the fact that some people were against their coming back. Regardless, I'm extremely excited for when I go, August 25th.
matinee or evening performance GG?
Matinee. Are you going that day too?
yes, for the evening perf.
Cool! I can't wait until then. So far, it's the best thing happening to me this summer.
Well if you have several thousand dollars laying around, you could buy the walk on role they're auctioning off on eBay the best thing to happen to you this summer.
The auction ends in early July and the role has to be done before June 2008 so maybe you could even do it during their run. :)
If only I were rich ... or could sing!

That is an awesome opportunity, but I think there is only a select group that could actually bid on that, lol.

Even if I had the money, I'd be ashamed to sing in front of those two, lol
is anyone here going on opening night of their run?
I'll be there opening night, pretty close but off to the side.
I haven't decided yet.

I think that's where my seats are too, Chloe. I have no idea what to expect that night, either.
JLSatUD, I don't have that much money but it would make for an interesting experience. :)
I'm curious as to what will happen opening night as well. It's still a whole month away...

My friend wants to meet me at the stagedoor afterwards, and she's like "you're going on opening night? Okay maybe I wont try to stagedoor..."
I have mixed feelings about it - I just hope that like, it can be taken seriously amidst all the fangirl insanity, and that A+A mesh well with the rest of the cast, you know?
I really want to meet Adam and Anthony, and seeing them in Rent will probably be my only chance, so I'm gonna risk stage dooring. Hopefully we're over estimating the fan girls. And hopefully matinee won't be as crowded as evening....This is all wishful thinking.
don't quote me but i think you would only need an equity or union card if you had a spoken part. If is just a walk-on i don't think you'd need a union card. regardless, i don't have the money or a way to get to ny if i won so it doesn't really matter either way to me
No, you don't need an Equity card. Any Equity member who could afford to bid on this wouldn't be interested in a walk-on part.
Cybele blogged about visiting NYC a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if Adam has started work on his CD yet.
maybe he's started rehearsal for Rent already and she was visiting him. Let's hope he works on that CD while he's there though. I want more music
Model Prisoner was recorded during Aida, so Rent shouldn't pose any problem for the new CD. On the other hand, history has shown that his CDs have a tendency to get delayed.

I'm in touch with someone who worked on Goyband with Adam, and she mentioned to me that Adam is indeed finishing the album in August. Larry said the same thing to me a while ago as well. No clue if Adam has been in the city lately - if he has, I'd imagine he's already started the recording process or they're starting rehearsals for Rent quite early, if he's not just visiting people in the city. I feel bad that he's constantly away from home, but I guess he made the decision to move in the first place. And despite how easy it is to get caught up in cons of his and Anthony's return to Rent, I'm quite excited to see it.
Guess that concludes what has become my weekly post on here!
I'm in full agreement about Rent. I have some reservations about the return, but from a personal perspective, I'm incredibly excited to have the chance to see this.
And yeah, I think the CD recording this summer is fairly definite. I was just being cynical.
Kind of random, but every once in awhile when I was in New York last weekend my mom kept saying to me, "That guy looks like Adam, doesn't he?" Then I would look at whoever she was pointing to and I would just shake my head. She's totally clueless, but she tries anyway.
