Considering Tim Howar has gone on as Roger with temporary tattoos reading "Dolly," "Lily," "Ruthie," "Icky," and "Faust" - among others - I doubt they'd cover up Adam's. To be fair, these are usually small and generally unnoticeable.

As a sidenote, Tim once had a temporary tattoo reading "April." I actually thought that was a nice touch!

They also gave Tim a temporary tribal band tattoo on his right arm, although he didn't have it the last time I saw him. Please don't ask me how I know this, but apparently all of his real tattoos are underneath his clothes. Updated On: 7/28/07 at 02:42 PM

Well, Ruthie is his wife, and he has two daughters named Lily and Dolly. It's not as if he picked them completely out of thin air.

I think it was just sort of an inside joke thing for him. He usually put one letter on each finger.

Backing up a bit, Roger wears long sleeves for most of the show anyway. So even if the one on his forearm is quite particular, it's not that big of a deal. It's clear that these characters have pretty intricate backstories, and something like that is totally feasible.
