Oh, definitely. I agree. His acting outside of musical numbers has gotten better by leaps and bounds.

I can't wait to go baaack.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

damn you Adam, I should not be wishing I was home when I am away next week!!

I agree with both of you Em & Chloe. I don't know if Adam could pull off a role like Bobby, because while he could sing the crap out of some of the songs, I just don't see him fairing well during the acting scenes. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have promise. Not every style is for everyone, but hopefully he is zoning in on what works best for him outside the stereotypical "rock guy". If that made any sense.

exactly. But as Em and I have discussed, we'd love to hear him do a version of Glory though! :)

I'd like to hear that too. And you're right, Raul probably couldn't pull off Roger, tho you never know.

backing up a bit, lucky - that part with the penguin can make me cry at the drop of a hat. It's probably one of like 5 existing things in the world with that power, hehe

Adam and Raul are two very different people. Raul might be able to pull off Mark, though.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

I think Raul *could* pull off either of them, but neither one seems like it's really the right fit, you know? He's one of those actors that falls into the category of... not buff enough for Roger, yet not quite geeky enough for Mark. Like Mano Felciano. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

Bobby is such an actor's role because even though Company uses songs to tell its story, between musical numbers, it behaves, not surprisingly, like a straight play. You really need to know what you're doing with straight drama to be a compelling Bobby.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

Umm, heck yes he can!

Anyway I really agree with what you said Emcee and Chloe as well(I think you two worded it better than I ever could!) The reason why I brought it up was over a conversation a friend and I had. She had seen Aida with the OBC cast when she was younger and she adored it; the only main problem she had was with the person playing Radames (aka Adam). She said that despite the fact that he was very handsome, VERY buff, and had an amazing voice; she thought that he did not connect with the character at all. She described it as him being rather awkward and stiff, like he didn't seem to be comfortable with the dialogue scenes for whatever reason.

See, for the longest time I've always thought of Adam as just a singer with an acting gig, and not someone who could bridge the gap between being a really good singer and a really good actor (again, just my opinion; I'm simply baseing this on videos I've seen etc. Most everyone here has seen him and can completely disagree with moi, that's totally cool.) But from hearing all these reviews with the Return, I think he's finally getting the best of both worlds. And I know he won't ever be like Raul, and Raul will never be like Adam (or Adam won't be like Michael Cerveris...and you get my gist~); but to me it's exciting to finally see him getting a little respect from other board members/people who may not have cared for him previously. Bahh I'm rambling but that's what I meant when I was talking previously, if this makes any sense re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

Gumby arm!

Adam has a lot of that natural "it" factor, and stage presence like I have rarely seen on anybody else. He's always had that going for him, but in addition, he's REALLY learned how to act over time. And now, I think he's proving himself as a real actor, as opposed to some hot guy with a nice voice who gets by on his presence and charisma. But I agree with you -- it's kind of nice to see people being proven wrong about him. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

My family is watching School of Rock on TV. I can hear Adam singing even though I'm in the other room and it's making me really happy!

Gumby rules re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

But that's the thing that has me excited about the Return Emcee. So many people who have really looked down on Adam have really been amazed by his performance. If he can do this with the Return, think of what he can do with other projects (if he gets them); that's really cool to me.

School of Rock, I love that movie! I remember I watched that at my 13th b-day party, and I was the only one who rooted for No Vacancy to win. I can't help it I liked a certain someone in a purple shirt! Hope you're ankle's feeling better Dancin re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

Thanks brina, my ankle's doing much better. I have to work on re-strengthening it now and it's kind of a pain, but whatever.

That's a nice little blog.

I'm watching School of Rock. Haven't seen that in a LONG time. Adam was just on for a bit.

None of those things would be bad would they? (With the exception of the going crazy part)

Hmm...hitting on Raul might cause quite the scandal on both ends.
