I have finally decided to catch up on the 26 days of RENT videos I missed, lol. I've gotten through a chunk, but I am officially sick of the beginning notes of "Rent", lol! =)
And don't forget the 3 oz container rule, Ariella. How long will you be here?
Here's another view of the new tattoo:
Flying in tomorrow morning, painfully early, and I believe it's back to MN on Monday. More college visiting will ensue, but I'm happy for any excuse to come to NY, especially with a certain Mr. Esparza performance coming up. Who knows, maybe I'll even unwittingly run into some of you guys.
I wish I was going somewhere for spring break. I would love to go to New York and see shows and you would think that my parents would get all the hints I've been dropping forever!!! It's my senior year for crying out loud. My brother got to pick a place he wanted to go to for spring break when he was a senior. I'm holding out hope for a surprise, though it's unlikely.
Wow, rant much? Hehe, back to the Adam awesomeness
Rent Video - Day 17 - Adam laughing like a little school girl, blowing a kiss!! lol, that mental image will never get erased from my mind!
Things like that make me wonder if Adam spent a little too much time with the Aida chorus boys. I guess it was a long shot to hope for a little more from the Q&A. I would so like to relive the Anthony penis dessert moment.
I think the concert I went to in S.F. was the debut of the new tat. I noticed it right off , we had great seats in the front row, I spent the whole concert trying to figure out what it was.
but, yeah, siamese, my husband likes Adam. well, he, very good naturedly, puts up with him. (I don't think I would feel the same way if he had Rosario posters and photos around the house.)I bought him a nano for Christmas, and filled it with Model Prisoner, Aida, Rent, Civilian and other old Adam tunes. He liked it. (I also put in a lot of other good rock music in it) its my daughter and I both who are BIG Adam fans. I'm lucky..
Tink ,I just watched day 17 too, he was so excited talking about "RENT" (and cute) I just love to watch him talk. those eyelashes and those lips.........sigh

I laughed so hard when I saw him wave during that 30days clip. He gets so excited over stuff sometimes, lol.
Funny about the Aida chorus...and I still cant get over this pic of Adam from the Aida book. It doesn't even resemble anything having to do with the time period of the show!
I love Adam's bracelet in that pic too Chloe :)
misschung - your picture didn't post (or my computer sucks, which wouldn't surprise me!) How is the Aida book, by the way? I came across on amazon a bit ago, and I'm kicking around buying it, but it looks like it will cost a fortune to ship to Canada...
So I was browsing a-p.com for some inspiration for a cd I'm making for a friend and stumbled upon this photo...
Does the pose remind anyone else of something you'd see in, like the Sears catalog?
So, I was talking with siamese dream last night about how some of Adam's new stuff sounds just like Tori Amos, and how his new CD will be his Boys for Pele, and then she commissioned me to make this fanart for her, so I thought I'd share:
Very odd, bordeline scary - yet superbly done!

jenna - the Aida book is just the souveneir one that they sell at the show, its not like a full book. It's okay I mean it was like 12 bucks or something. It's mostly just quotes on each page - not really a full synopsis or anything, but a few nice stage shots.
I know the one you mean on Amazon - I was looking at that one too, that one is probably a better choice.
I remember when I bought that Tori Amos cd and saw the picture of her with the pig, I was like huh???
Seeing Adam suckling a farm animal is somewhat strange..
The Aida book from Amazon is pretty good. I got it for Christmas last year. It has some really good pictures that I had never seen before. The book is basically how the show was created and all the processes they had to go through to make it. I just wanted it for the pictures though.
All the best pics in that Aida book are from the rehearsal process. The actual show shots are from a very point in development, and it's not Adam's best look -- very dark, short hair...no scruffyness at all...strange makeup...tsk tsk tsk.
Of course, Adam on a bad day is better than most guys at their best, but still.

Oooh, I was about to ask where you could find the AIDA book! I'm defiantly checking out Amazon, perhaps as an Easter basket goody
I have the RENT one, just got the TARZAN one, and put AIDA & Cabaret books on my wish list.

I love how smug he looks in the first picture. On another note, his new songs really do remind me of Boys for Pele (if any of you have heard it) in some bizarre, vague sense. I think it's a combination of the heavily used piano and the stripped-down feeling.
I don't have the Aida book, but my impression from looking at it once was that it showcased the show's "look" overall very well. The pictures of Adam are less than flattering, mainly because they were taken apparently before he started hitting the gym.
I hope he does keep that "stripped down" feeling on his newest cd. As much as I love his first two, I'm in that camp who feels they're a bit over-produced, especially Civilian. His voice is so mixed and over-dubbed that most of the time I don't feel like I'm getting to hear just HIM. I prefer his live versions with just a guitar and/or piano. That's all the boy needs.

Agreed 100%. I've said it before, but hearing him live kind of ruined his albums for me.
I think he plans to.
Yeah, that's kinda true, Siamese.
I had played Buzz some of his songs off MP & Civilian, because I thought maybe just maybe he'd start to see why I liked him. Then he went to my first Adam show with me. He was like "that can't be the same person. I didn't mind the song tonight, but hated the CD version".
