I had played Buzz some of his songs off MP & Civilian, because I thought maybe just maybe he'd start to see why I liked him. Then he went to my first Adam show with me. He was like "that can't be the same person. I didn't mind the song tonight, but hated the CD version".

I totally agree about his music now being overproduced, and I hope that he tones it down a bit in the future. The exact same thing happened to Dave Matthews, and its really a shame because Adam has the same kind of voice that really doesn't need much, if any, work. Much like his looks :o)
I agree about the Aida pics from before he started hitting the gym.
This one has got to be the strangest picture of Adam in the world. I don't know if you guys can see it bc sometimes I have trouble w/pics on this site. But the first time I saw it I was like huhh??
Not that I can talk at all about an exercise regimen, but anyway..!!
So, what does this picture remind you ladies (and gentleman) of?
Ummmmm...he's milking a cow? *scratches head* Maybe I don't get it.
And am I really the ONLY guy around here??

At the moment, yes, but we get a few others now and again.
I can't find it, but there's this hilarious cap from the Rent blogs of Adam "driving," and that's what it reminded me of.

misschung, not that he was exceptionally built when that photo was taken, but I'm pretty sure what you're seeing is mainly the result of shadows.
And I'm sure there are some male lurkers who are just too afraid to post amongst us crazy girls.
OH! Right, I know the one you're talking about.
MYB - You help validate Adam's "teen girls and gay men" line at his shows. Because when I went to the show, the only men I really saw were fathers of the teen girls, lol!
Exactly! I saw the October 28th show in SF, and Adam's exactly right about the "teen girls and gay men" thing. At one point, he said, "And all you men out there who are thinking, 'I'm not gay!'...yes you are."
At which point I let out a very gay "wooo!"
Awesome

Regina, I never get over the terror of the Pele photos. Although, now I can't wait until Adam gets to his Strange Little Girls phase. WIGS!
I'm off to see a bad community version of Chess! See you all later.

Does that mean we get to hear his cover of "Happiness Is a Warm Gun"?
Craww, when you get back, I really want to hear your opinion on the Chess production and your community's version's storyline.

oh it was definetly the shadows, but still I was like 'what a strange photo'
I love that Adam's audience is all girls and gay guys. I wonder if that bothers him - I mean he does joke about it but still
I doubt if he minds at all, and I also think that despite all the joking around there are a few straight guys who are fans of his. In one of the interviews he gave back in '96 (it might have been for Rolling Stone or Interview), he said that one thing he learned from Rent was that there's no difference between the love of a man and a woman, and the love of two men or two women.

oh yeah, I wouldn't think the fact that he has gay fans would bother him - I just wonder if he ever gets sick of the demographic as a whole, fangirls included.
sometimes that happens to performers when they get older - but he still seems to be having fun with it :o)
I want him to be in another musical theatre production soon, dammit!
yeah, it'd be so great to have him involved in another musical. that said, does anyone know what's next for Adam? I mean besides the three concerts upcoming. (And the new cd)?????
And for that matter, does anyone know details about his new CD? Like, when?
Last I heard I think they were recording this summer...but I'm always out of the loop!

Larry told me that they were recording it this August. I don't know when it'll be released.

I'm officially less than a week away from opening night. Only six more days of complete terror, woo hoo. And then I'll go out on stage and be perfectly fine. Go figure.

what show are you doing?

Good morning, misschung!
I'm in The Pajama Game, playing Babe. We're moving into the theatre on Sunday, eek!
Ooh, that's so exciting, Allie.
This was made by Mandi, I believe (if not, than someone please correct me). I saved it in my Photobucket.
Haha, yes, that's it!
