I told my mom this morning and her first response was "why? aren't they a bit old for it?" She's seen the show three times, but hasn't seen it for at least four years and she really loved the movie. She didn't say anything this morning about wanting to see them, but she could change her mind. I'm certainly not going to be like "Mom, you have to come see this with me!" There are other people I'd rather see it with

cool! where are you working?
I absolutely love this picture even though its not TOTALLY new - the arms, the necklace, the bracelet...
here is another throwback
Somehow we always end up talking about moms, heh. Mine hasn't seen Adam on stage in... almost 7 years. The first time I saw AIDA was with my family. She's always liked him, though; she thinks he's adorable and sweet -- both true. She totally "gets" why I like his work so much. I told her about this whole thing and she was like "REALLY?!" She's excited to see Anthony do the LVB dance live.

... and proceed to break his hip? (Just kidding!)
My mother is just worried about the amount of money I'm going to spend on this, which is probably reasonable.
I talked to Rach on the phone; she told me she asked him about this thread and he said he had never heard of it and "doesn't seek out anything about himself on the internet." Okay then. He also "will never do TV again" because he "hates the audition process" and has a really short buzz cut.
Hee, Lexi! That made me laugh. And hilarious that he denied all knowledge of this thread. Sure, Adam.
Chloe, I actually sort of agree with my mom on one point... I think that shorter, blonder hair makes him look older (recently, obviously not in his Rent days). Which is a complete paradox, I realize. Speaking of which, I wonder what kind of hair we could expect if it happens.

I think he said something like, "I read message boards all the time, even though my wife is trying to get me to stop" at a recent show, so if that's the case, I don't see why he'd leave this thread out.
I can't believe that I'm discussing Adam's hair again, but as he never reads this (...ahem), I suppose it's not too embarrassing. I think that the super short blonde hair makes him look older (e.g. Goyband), but the slightly longer, spikey blonde hair works well. I vote in favor of that or the Chess hair, but really, anything is better than the current buzz cut.
I still can't believe I'm posting this.
Hi Adam.
I had to go home today for an interview and my mom's reaction was more of "Oh, that's nice. I certainly won't be going." She's never really gotten Adam's appeal (Sorry Adam!), and she's even seen him live. I'll spare you all her nickname for him in case someone is "not reading".
And a buzz cut? I don't think we've seen that one before.
Yay, finally back home!
I generally suck at reviews of any kind, but I'm going to try.
Penn State is three hours from my house, and it rained the entire way there. Boo. So, I didn't get to the auditorium until around 7:15. That got me a seat in row J of the orchestra. (Which means no pictures; my crappy camera doesn't zoom. That and the crazy usher girl was taking people's cameras and deleting the pictures.) As Lexi already said, it was basically the same concert he's been doing. I'm pretty sure he didn't burp during Maria, thank god. He sounded damn good to me, and some of his higher notes were amazing. I *loved* hearing him sing live, and he has a fabulous ass.
The Q&A was just damn funny. Someone asked him for his bottle of water, then he signed it. A few people asked him for advice, which made me giggle for some odd reason. He said he HATED TV and never wants to do it again. Someone asked to sing with him, but he just let her belt out "Another Day" all by herself... he'd been "singing for the past hour." The next question was how kissing Rosario Dawson was ... he's "kissed many beautiful women, most beautiful of which being [his] wife" which got an awww... and added a "mouth is a mouth." He was asked about Goyband, and his family. There were other questions, but eh, I'll upload it.
I got a picture with him, so instead of trying to describe what he was wearing, you can PM me for a pic (woo?).
If anyone has specific questions, I'll gladly answer them.
And if he didn't read this thread before, I'm sure he's going to look for it now.
Maybe he means he doesn't google himself, which would be really wise, but looks at sites like IMDb which he already knew about.
Here's my translation of his TV comment - he's totally sick of auditioning for TV shows. That doesn't mean he won't do it again next month or next year, but right now he can't stand it any longer. I think TV would be particularly difficult for him because what they're looking for is the type of actor who can immediately jump into character, and he's indicated that it's a long process for him.
I really like those pictures too, misschung.
He had something close to a buzz cut for the first Today Show appearance.

Hi Rach! You already know that I am so incredibly happy for you. You look absolutely wonderful in your picture. Better than him. Thanks for your post. By the way, you both have butterflies on your shirt.
What did he say about Goyband and his family?
Updated On: 4/12/07 at 02:38 PM
Nothing new. :-P Try to ignore me cracking up...
Listen to me.
What a great picture! (I love your shirt, by the way.)
Yaaaay, Rach! I'm so happy for you. You look great in that picture.
Wow his hair is REALLY SHORT. Cute pic!
You're welcome, Chloe.
Thanks for the compliments, all.
Heh, his blog about being called "chubby" is up there three times.
Sorry I haven't been around for awhile, I always find I have nothing meaningful to say.
Rach, I absolutely love your shirt. And I'm so glad that you had such a good time.
About Adam's return to Rent. I'm really skeptical about this and don't really find the sources to be that credible. I guess I'm in a "beleive it when I see it" mood about it.
Sarah, it's been established that Anthony did actually say they MAY BE returning, but as to whether it will actually happen is another question. It's too bad he mentioned it before it's absolutely certain.
Sarah! <3
I think everyone needs to see something confirming the Rent rumour for it to be true. Right now, it just seems like something Adam and Anthony have been approached to do?

Someone said Anthony said they're "definitely going to do it," but just that the details haven't been finalized yet. I'm sure that it's possible things could still fall through, though.
I love your picture! I'm glad the experience was so good, and thanks for the download. The Q&A's are always entertaining, especially when people ask for water bottles and get affirmation that they do indeed have the best ass below 14th street. I'm still adjusting to the new hair, but that's to be expected.
I can't help but feel slightly skeptical about the Adam/Anthony return, but if it's confirmed I'll have to start a fund to get me to NY in order to see them. Crazy.
I'm going to have to agree with Ariella on this. I feel like, no offense to Adam, that he's being rather hypocritical. If he doesn't want to be pigenholed, why take the RENT job? I do understand the paying for your bills concept; but it seems to me that people will now only view him as Roger, and not for his other projects. The whole idea puts a bad taste in my mouth.
But on a brighter note, if they were going to do the show; at least it would be the two of them together, not just Anthony or Adam by his lonesome.
Thanks for the Q & A!
As for the Rent thing, I'd rather have Adam do something new, but I'd also love to see him and Anthony in Rent because I hadn't been able to see them on Broadway, or meet them at all. I admit that I would be first in line to get tickets.
