.... $357???
Why on earth?
I know! when I saw that, I decided to sell my used autographed copy that I bought on ebay last year. I got 49.00 for it in March. its all about timing...

$357 is quite obviously ridiculously too much to pay.
...and yet I'm feeling exactly the same about the 18 dollars plus shipping they're charging on meandlarry.com. I paid less for both his previous CDs than what Blinding Light would end up costing. If I pay $20 or more for a Broadway actor's crappy solo album I usually expect some of that to be going to BCEFA.

I'm still searching for that link to the 357.00 Mute sale on Ebay, I had it on my watch list for a month then deleted it recently.
I did just order Blinding Light, I am trying to take the optimistic approach. Also, I like his music.

I also like "Just Like I Am" the most of all the songs I've heard so far, though "See me Shining" is a favorite as well.

Also, I like his music.
So do I, but this doesn't sound much like his other stuff. I think that's why people are reluctant. I didn't realize they were already selling them. I'll order one soon.

Oh, do I do agree, this new stuff is different. I understand being reluctant about this cd. This wouldn't be the first time I bought a cd after only liking/hearing one or two songs. I didn't realize it was on sale yet either until Craww's post. so thanks.

I didn't know they were selling either, but I pre-ordered the CD at a show, so....
It doesn't sound like Adam's old music. The thing is, I liked Adam's older stuff. I hope I'll like this stuff too.

Hm. I feel obliged to purchase the CD, at least for posterity's sake.

Rent is on TV now? Huh. If I were going to watch it, I wouldn't want to deal with commercials. FX is among the worst; like 1 minute of commercials for every 2 minutes of movie.

i watched it on FX last night. they skipped where Mimi grabs herself, yet left in the references to dildos and masturbation.
oooohhh, my hubby just said I can go see them in Denver! woot!

...oh my god, what incredible nerve. They updated the MEANDLARRY.com site (it admittedly looks slightly better, but only slightly and so what) and the price of the CD went up. I believe it previously said 18.00 plus 2.75 shipping, now it's 18.99 plus 2.99 shipping.
Seriously. I haven't spent that much on a single CD EVER. Even in the mall in the late 90s I think it was always about a dollar under that.
It's like he's under the impression that he's going to actually sell as many copies of Blinding Light as he did of his previous (much easier to buy, much better produced, much better material) CDs. And without the record company or various sellers (like iTunes) taking a cut, he's thusly going to make twice the money on his awful pathetic stupid CD. Even having to give a cut to Larry, who practically wrote the whole thing anyway.
What a lazy and naive man. I hope he sells 147 copies. I hope all his biggest fans can't get it because their mommy or daddy won't fork over their credit card for an overpriced CD by a couple of creepy looking middle aged men.
BLAGH.
