Stuff
Hey everyone, just wanted to clear a couple of things up. First regarding the Melbourne gig,
the show was cancelled because the band I was using got screwed by the airlines, and could not get to the gig in time. Contrary to some rumors, Larry was not with me. He was already we'll on his way back to NYC once this all started to go down.
If there was anyway I could have done the show I would have. I understand the frustration that some of you who drove long distances felt at finding out the show was cancelled.
Believe me I'd rather have been doing the show then sitting in Melbourne doing nothing.
It sucked for everyone!
Next, "Blinding Light" will only be available at our gigs, and on the MeandLarry.com website. It will available for purchase very soon!!
Much love

I guess that means no rescheduling?
"It means nothing to come and sit in a theater night after night and immerse yourself in fantasy, only then to walk out the door and be unchanged in reality. This show will live on in our hearts. But where it truly must survive is in our actions, our compassion and our generousity of spirit towards one another." - Adam Pascal on the closing of RENT

Thanks for posting that, tink.
I really like "Single Drop of You". Can't wait for the CD!

...not even on iTunes, Adam? Even both of Larry Edoff's flaccid, sodden, putrescent musical offerings are available on iTunes.

Scrabble victory is all about cheap, well-placed two or three letter words. Part of me is afraid that even Adam could beat me at it.

I'm surprised that it's not available on itunes. That's really narrowing the field, isnt it?

I'm hoping that availability info is just for now and it'll eventually end up, at the very least, on iTunes. But who knows.

I'm hoping that it does, and I don't even use itunes. But Adam's myspace profile and stuff used to advertise Civilian and MP on there a lot; so it would make sense for this one to follow in suit.
I guess they won't be available at Feinsteins, then.

Yeah, but Model Prisoner and Civilian were widely advertised when they were first released. I doubt there's going to be a signing at the Virgin Megastore this time.
Why isn't it available elsewhere? I thought this was the CD Adam had "always wanted to make"; you'd think he'd be handing it out on street corners for $5 if he were that proud of it. Other than for them to directly control who has access to this CD, it makes no sense to severely limit availability to even the fanbase he already has.
Maybe it's a financial issue? I don't know how Amazon or iTunes work; could it be that the artist has to pay to be included in their catalog and they can't afford it? I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, because there doesn't seem to be any logical explanation for this step.

I'm with you in apathy land. A signing would really be great, especially given the refreshed interest in Adam due to his Rent revisit.
A Chess album would be fantastic. However, it'll always be incomplete to me without Raul as the Arbiter!

Yeah, I would assume it's a financial thing. iTunes can't possibly be putting stuff up for free, could it?
Heh, The Arbiter.

Oh, thank you!! Yes, it's been done for a little less than a week, so I'm still in recovery, so to speak.
It will never really feel done, it seems, but it's nice to rest.

Honestly, I only read it once to do the final edits, and I was terribly sleep deprived when I did so. Now that I'm slightly more awake and refreshed, I can't even look at the damned thing. I'm so afraid I'll hate it. And... I know I won't hate it, but I'm just afraid of not being satisfied with what I wrote, and only having thought it was decent at the end because I was so run-down. I guess I can always change it, though, if I want it to go anywhere.

You can always change it, that's the good thing. I'm sure it's wonderful!

meandlarry.com is up now.
The good news? The cover doesn't have Larry on it.
The bad news is that it's this. It's like a joke I made up in Paint Shop Pro 3 to show what kind of album cover I think Larry would design if he were graphically inclined.
For all I know he did make it. Or Adam. Or one of the wacky married duo behind that ill fated "documentary". It's certainly bad enough for any of them to have done it.
