lol, that's from Goyband?
Yeah, I have a feeling the Rent film release will be the last time we'll see Adam on the silver screen for awhile...tho I hope he proves me wrong.

Yeah, I meant assuming he's part of the closing night stuff. I thought that was suggested somewhere, but knowing me I could have just imagined it.
I forgot about Chess. After listening to the audio, I think I like the Actor's Fund version better. I'm still excited to see it on tv, tho.
I think I'd like to see that one more than American Primitive, I mean 80's dancing trumps 70's paisley right?
Really? As much as I'm a total product of the 80's, I think American Primitive sounds like an actually good movie. At least it seems like it'd have a better chance of actually seeing the light of day (or maybe theater screen)at some point.

Goyband is set in the 80s? I didn't know that.
That other actor from Drake and Josh is in a new movie - it reminded me of American Primitive. I had completely forgotten about it.

misschung, he's not a part of the closing night at Rent; he gave away his tickets.
A friend saw Goyband. She was expecting it to be funnier than it was.

Oh, he did? Okay, scratch what I said, then. Who knows when we'll be seeing him next on the big screen!
I'm also more curious about AP than Goyband, mostly because I'm interested in how he tackles the heavier material.
I would be stunned if Adam didn't make an appearance even though he gave way his tickets.

Adam Pascal’s show doesn’t have any characters, just him and the music

You might know him as Roger Davis, the songwriter who was recovering from heroin addiction in the Broadway spectacle “Rent.” You might also know him as Theo, the guy who kicked Jack Black out of his band in “School of Rock.” But at Northwest Missouri State University on Sept. 11, you will know him as Adam Pascal, the performer. Not a character, a performer.
“You’re going up there as yourself,” Pascal says of his show. “You’re not playing a character trying to get the audience to like you. It can be scary. But there’s no better feeling than getting into a groove and knowing the audience is grooving with you.”
Pascal’s show consists of pieces from “Blinding Light,” his most recent CD in which he collaborated with his writing partner Larry Edoff. The show also will feature interpretations of Broadway material. Pascal originally aimed to do separate shows for each project, but ultimately decided to combine the two aspects. With only a small band featuring Edoff and Pascal singing and playing guitar, the show is a very cozy experience.
“It’s a very interactive show,” he says. “Basically, it’s a live concert, but a more intimate live concert... they can expect great music and hopefully some laughs if I’m on my game.”
When Pascal is finished touring with his show in November, he will reprise his role as Roger Davis for the final international tour of “Rent,” which begins in Cleveland in January 2009. Pascal’s portrayal of Davis was what made his show so attractive to the people at Northwest Missouri State University.
“We feel he will be a draw not only to our community but also our student population because of his popularity with ‘Rent,’” says Angel McAdams of the university’s office of campus activities. “We thought there would be a name and a face recognition and that our students would appreciate that.”

I just looked at that photo essay, and I love that pic.

I believe Adam publically giving away his ticket to the contest runner-up was a sign he had already planned not to go. That's unfortunate.
The Nederlander looks so clean and pretty and new in those pictures. I never realized Jesse had his hair twisted back then. He always wore those hats offstage as well. He looks cute.
Idina's costume in LVB. Yikes.

I thought the same thing about the theater. It's weird to look at those pictures while simultaneously watching Titanic on HD TNT. Time warp.
Skittles, where is the info about Adam giving the ticket away?
misschung, did you miss the video of the conference call? try this link, its at Broadway.com. Its a video of Adam , Anthony and Daphne choosing the winner of the JetBlue contest. He offers his ticket to the second place person.

Oh, that's right. I didn't get a chance to watch that, thanks
ETA: Cute video. "YOU have a friend who hasn't seen Rent?!"
I'm not sure how this was shot and edited, but did it seem as though Anthony looked upset when Adam immediately offered Will his ticket?
Adam looks purdy.
misschung you may have got the idea that you'd be seeing him in the movie of the last performance because when you go to The Hot Ticket site to purchase tickets, it says "Special Appearance by the Original Cast". I would think that means Adam as well.
yeah, that video is really cute, Adam does look good.....
I just watched the video where they chose the winners. I have to agree-it was cute. And the video-essay was very good. This is all making me sad...I can't believe Rent is ending.

lol, loved that.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Adam was able to get another one. I still think what he did was really kind, though.
The "special appearance" by the OBC in the film doesn't necessarily mean it'll be something shot at tomorrow's performance. I'm willing to bet many of them will be there, but I don't think the special appearance they're advertising for the film necessarily means they'll be doing anything on stage tomorrow.
And on that note: SIGH.
