re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

The offness of the picture goes with the offness of the page. I think it's the half-smile that I don't like. I love Adam's big toothy grin, but if he's not doing that, I like him to look serious.

it looks like a fairly recent picture, definite roger hair. maybe it's the angle of the picture that makes him look so skinny. who knows, i think it's a good pic. and it is now the background pic on my cell phone.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I'm interrupting the facebook debate to tell you all I went to Stop and Shop this morning and saw a guy who definitely took suggestions from the Adam Pascal book of style. He had a button down shirt which was half unbuttoned, weirdly bleach blonde chunky highlighted hair, and my favorite part of the outfit was the pair of studded jeans he had on. No rhinestones, but these things had the same amount of sparkle and pizazz. I tried to take a picture of him but it came out all blurry (as most of my pictures do.)

Back on topic? He looks a bit loony in that picture.

You're my fave, LuckyStar.

I'm also not a fan of that picture. I'm assuming they're from the shots for the new album, but that one isn't particularly flattering.

me too MC. i can identify with a lot of that book, as my mom is terminally ill. the first time i read it, i finished it in 4.5 hours. this time i'm reading it while waiting in doctor's offices.

Hi All! School has been killer for the past few weeks, so I haven't had a chance to check out the Adam gossip for the past few weeks. *grin*

However, just to clear the air around this new Facebook page for Adam, it is definitely legitimate. And there are a few more things in the works that will get all of our Adam-lovin' hearts a-racin'!

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Sorry I can't take your assessments more seriously, but I think we deserve a slightly better explanation than "Oh, trust me, it's legitimate!" Who made this? Not Adam's "people", their actual names and professional association with Adam. Professional, official promotion should have no qualms about admitting upfront who is running this page instead of hiding behind shameless promotions from random fans on a message board.

Not at ALL feeling that picture. At all.

I always meant to read Without You again, but I'm not sure I can put myself through that for a second time. I read it before it was released, and I was so engrossed once I began reading that I stayed up all night to finish it. And afterward, I was such a mess. Much like his brother, Anthony certainly has a gift for capturing raw emotion with the written word.

Skittles: All I can is that you can either believe me or not believe me; it's really your prerogative. If you want the straight facts from the person running the Facebook site, why don't you just email him or her? :)

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Emcee... i hear ya. the first time i read it, i couldn't put it down, but i was emotionally drained at the end of it. i still feel the emotion but reading it slowly this time isn't as wrenching.

ETA: i haven't read any of adam rapp's stuff... anything you recommend?

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

That was exactly my point. IF the site is legitimate (the possibility of that is lessening with every elusive post), you and butfulgirl shouldn't be so close-mouthed about your "official" confirmation. I seriously doubt Adam would want any official promotion like this to be so shrouded in secrecy. Again, look at his MySpace in comparison. Sh-K-Boom is all over that, they don't have to hide it.

Even if any of us did use the Gmail address to ask, how are we to know THAT is legitimate? I could make up a Gmail address and claim to be in charge of Adam's career too; it doesn't take much. The fact that neither of you will publically admit to ANYTHING and keep changing the subject to avoid having to answer for yourselves only further raises suspicions. Like I said, I'll believe it when the ONLY confirmed source (his MySpace) posts to say that it's real. Until then, I never trusted you before and I sure as hell am not going to take your word for it now. I don't think that page (and by extension, the two of you) are any closer to personal contact with Adam than anyone else here.

BTW guys, I'm spending Thanksgiving with Adam in Tahiti. Trust me, it's legitimate!

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Skittles: You seem really upset about this situation. I apologize that I can't give you any more details about who is running the Facebook site, but I'm just not comfortable with saying anything else without talking to the people in charge first. I really don't think it's my place to speak for them, and I'm sure Cheryl feels the same way.

I'm really not trying to hide anything from anyone, but I'm just extending the same courtesy that these people have extended me. :) Again, if you are still taking issue with the legitimacy of this site and refuse to believe either of us, why don't you just email the Gmail account? Won't things be resolved much quicker and in a more pleasant manner via that option?

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Nocturne and Red Light Winter are my favorites of his plays. His novel, The Year of Endless Sorrows, is also really, really wonderful. He's brilliant.

I'm too tired to really tell my left from my right at the moment, but one of the interesting things to me about this legitimacy debate is that... with all of the fake pages that are created on MySpace and Facebook all the time, it shouldn't be surprising that people are skeptical. I mean, being that there are tons of fake ones, it's pretty easy to see why people aren't just going to jump to trust the word of someone who's unwilling to provide backup information. Especially when, intentional or not, it sometimes feels like it's being done in order that those in the know can have something to dangle in others' faces. I was going to say that if you have something you don't want to be forthcoming about, don't be coy with it, but someone could easily call me on my hypocrisy there. However, the stuff I withhold is for personal reasons, pertaining to things separate of information that should -- and honestly, eventually will -- be public. Not telling the detailed version of some story (which a lot of us have done, and I'm not faulting anyone for it) isn't the same as holding back information just because you want to be one of the few who have it. I'm not outwardly accusing anybody of anything, but if I'm going to be honest, that's sort of how some of this comes off.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Cybele uses Gmail as her email account.

And that makes this legitimate how? Just because she uses it, that means this in no way, shape or form could be made up? So it MIGHT mean that Adam or his people also use Gmail. But, come on. I use Gmail. All of my friends use Gmail. My bosses use Gmail. The bottom line, as I pointed out before, is that it's kind of futile to expect people you don't know to trust you just based on your "word," when logically, that could be ANYBODY. I'm not saying it IS made up, or that I think it is. I'm saying it COULD be, and that's why people should be understanding of the skepticism.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I think skittles' point was that she expected a little more forthcoming information on the part of whatever person or company is running this site rather than a few posts from a couple of fans insisting that it's legitimate. No one should have to write to some seemingly unofficial email address to get an answer about whether a supposedly official page is, in fact, official. In fact, the page itself doesn't even mention that it's official. I think it's very easy to understand why people are having their doubts - doubts that should be cleared up via an official source rather than a few postings from apparently attached fans on message boards.
