re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I think skittles' point was that she expected a little more forthcoming information on the part of whatever person or company is running this site rather than a few posts from a couple of fans insisting that it's legitimate. No one should have to write to some seemingly unofficial email address to get an answer about whether a supposedly official page is, in fact, official. In fact, the page itself doesn't even mention that it's official. I think it's very easy to understand why people are having their doubts - doubts that should be cleared up via an official source rather than a few postings from apparently attached fans on message boards.

Not only don't be coy about it, but don't do it when both Chloe and Skittles have outed your secret source already.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Skittles isn't actually upset because she's dying to know who's running the facebook page. I don't really see what all the fuss is about in the first place, considering it's a freakin facebook (and a pretty scarce one at that) which will provide absolutely no information that we can't get from other sources. As more and more people join facebook, it's reputation becomes just as bad as Myspace's is now.

I recognize the addiction to being alive.

Fantabulous: Has the "secret source" been outed? I really don't know because the yuckiness of school has kept me from fun things like the internet and messge boards.

If this person's been outed, why was the legitimacy of the site ever disputed?

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

As I said in my last post, how am I supposed to know that the information I get from the email is anymore trustworthy than the site?

My point wasn't that Gmail is a bad email service (hell, I use it too). But Cybele's (not sure why she was brought into this argument, but whatever) ONLY contact info is Gmail. She posted it on her own blog. This was not posted on any known-legitimate source; it's detached from it all.

I'm not angry, just frustrated that you think that this is a good, professional way of promoting Adam and will have a positive effect on his career, instead of just further confusing well-intentioned fans. People want an official website as a singular, centralized source for all this information. Instead we get yet another semi-official, partially-attached fan gathering.

Definitely hot. And by hot, I mean sweaty. Not post-Hair sweaty, just greasy.

I remember when the photo coverage was first posted on BWW and the responses on this thread. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

The cloak and dagger act is not cute at all, and clearly not befitting the behavior of legitimate management. His fandom is full of ministrations by megalomanic upstart fans. We don't really need one of them actually succeeding and finding their way to a little power.

I know this will sound mean, but I also don't see how Cheryl is an ideal foot soldier to the fans when promoting on a professional level. Sure, the infectious enthusiasm is there, but it's bad enough that Adam himself doesn't qualify as grammatically persuasive.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I have to say that I've never heard of any sort of manager for an artist who isn't forthcoming with the information that s/he is the manager. It's certainly the most bizarre management strategy I've ever witnessed, and even worse is letting two people give half-answers to basic questions of legitimacy while forcing everyone else to remain in the dark. This is exactly not the managerial strategy I envisioned when made the case that Adam needs new management so many times. The last thing Adam Pascal needs in his career is more questions. How many times have we had to hunt down information about his film projects and shows by ourselves? What he needs is someone who can give the fans some answers and hopefully, in turn, further his career.

Having two people post a link to an ambiguous Facebook page and follow with "you can either choose to believe it's legitimate or not!" is cause for unnecessary confusion and representative of inarguably poor management (if it's even due to actual management at all, which no one is apparently allowed to know). Let's hope the next managerial adventures from *~the super sekret source!~* are a little more well-planned and answer questions rather than invite them.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

and I'm sure Cheryl feels the same way.

exactly. i won't speak for them. just trying to share the word about a new site. and as i said before, go there or don't go there, doesn't effect me either way.

ETA: Nocturne and Red Light Winter are my favorites of his plays. His novel, The Year of Endless Sorrows, is also really, really wonderful. He's brilliant.

i'll have to pick up the novel for my next business trip, thanks Emcee.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I think the best thing to do is simply wait for official news, either by Adam's myspace or another forthcoming, authorized source that appears to be in the works -- instead of arguing about it here. If we're doubting legitimacy, discussing it here and arguing with those apparently involved, who have made it clear that they don't want to discuss details, is moot. Just my opinion.

Right, misschung. There's no point in talking ourselves in circles when we clearly won't come up with the answer. It's just frusrating that even if we wanted to know if any page was official or not, it's become unclear as to who "Adam's people" are anymore, rather than when it was all through Sh-K-Boom, which for all I know, it could still be.

Back to what we were talking about yesterday, it's snowwwwinng. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Cheryl, no one is questioning your decision to post the information about the new site so much as the circumstances surrounding it. No one is upset that you dared to post information, so please don't try to make it about that when that's so obviously not the issue at hand. Instead, we're disheartened by the way that this is being treated as some sort of clandestine operation.

Anyway, you girls are right that this conversation is going in circles, so by all means, someone change the topic.
