Hee, Lucky, I don't know about twins, but I know at the very least it wasn't me seeing as how I spent the day watching TV in my pajamas. (And out of state)
Troy- Adam Gabriella- Daphne Sharpay- Idina Chad- Anthony Zeke- Jesse Ryan- Wilson (shut up, Zeke and Ryan are TOTALLY OTP) Kelsi- Fredi Coach Bolton- Taye
Um. Not that I'm intimately familiar with the plotline of High School Musical or anything...

I was thinking more along the lines of that dramatic song with Zac Efron "dancing" in some field, mostly because that's all I've ever seen of High School Musical. There was dancing with basketballs? I really can't even imagine how funny that would be, Tink.
If you look up Adam on Wikipedia, they have him listed as being in Footloose on Broadway, which is kind of just as funny to me as imagining him trying to dance with basketballs.
I don't know anything about High School Musical, really, but I approve. I love that Taye is someone named Coach Bolton, whoever he is.
What do we think about ME AND LARRY, you guys? Lindsey and I just reviewed what we know of the song list. Single Drop of You, Just Like I Am (which blows, and Larry wrote it, so I'm blaming him), See Me Shining, World Cannot Wait, This Life, Flavor of Atonement... Will I Drown.
I really like two or three of the songs, but I feel like I will be entering a REM cycle by track six.
I think he started playing Apology around 2000 and still hasn't recorded it, so I'm pretty sure we're never going to see it again. I liked that song, too. And I just gave that Flavor of Atonement song a name.
Hmm...Me and Larry will certainly be different from Adam's other albums, I think in a good way.
I actually hope he doesn't play all the new songs from that album in concert before it comes out, because I want some surprises when the album comes out.

I think I'm the only person who hasn't seen and has no desire to see High School Musical.
Flavor of Atonement, aka Kick Ass Song? Oh, Pascal and his subtle dirtiness. I feel like a lot of the songs repeat one line over and over. When you put it that way Lexi, there's only a handful of songs that we haven't heard.
Skittles, I forgot to mention that I knew it wasn't you since she had some kids, not to mention the fact that I imagine there's no way you would be up here at 8 am in a Gap Kids.
I hope that there are some surprises left for this album that we haven't heard yet, and that Me and Larry makes it into our hands at some point in the new year. I'm trying to keep an open mind, but based on the track list that Lexi and I came up with, it really seems like an album of mellow songs that I would put on before bed or something. I think my snoring (I mean this as nicely as possible, deviated septum!) will add a bit of edge to some of the songs.
I've said multiple times that I hope it doesn't turn into my new bed mix. She Me Shining is the first song on my iPod under my Sleep playlist, and even thought I think it's beautiful, I can always count on being asleep by the time it's over.
A quick note on the HSM: my school's drama teacher had the brilliant idea (note my sarcasim) of putting on "High School Musical: On Stage!" for our spring musical. Needless to say it was the most craptacular show I'd ever seen AND I felt so embarassed for my theatre friends who were in the show.
Back to Adam: I'm excited to hear his new material for the upcoming album. Does anyone think he'll re-re-record 'Glory'? I'm kind of hoping he doesn't, but he seems to sing it so much it wouldn't suprise me if he put it on there.

I seem to vaguely remember Larry or Adam saying that the Broadway covers wouldn't be on the album, only possibly a website (whichever one that is), provided they even recorded them. Of course, I could be mistaken, or they may have changed their minds. They probably don't want to lose more money than they already will with this album by having to purchase the recording rights to the songs, though.
That's true, I didn't even think about that. Aren't the rights for RENT restricted somehow? I thought I recall reading an article touching basis on this.

I think I remember them saying that they'd record "What I did for Love" for the website, but that it wouldn't be on the album. I don't remember if that was in an interview or blog, though.
The rights for all Broadway shows are restricted. You can't just record your personal reinterpretation of Sweeney Todd, professionally release it, and expect Sondheim not to sue you for using his intellectual property.
Jenna (9:59:36 PM): WHY does he have his own song? Not to turn this into the Official KT Tunstall Thread part 1, but how does one of her concerts work, Sarah? I saw her on a talk show a few years ago, and she not only sang and played guitar, but she was basically a one woman band. Is she alone on stage or does she have backing musicians? I'm glad you had a good time!
