re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Right. Paying to hang out with people sometimes strikes me as very artificial, which is one of the reasons why I've never been to such a party. But then, if you throw in the, "it's for charity!" clause, that suddenly makes it much more acceptable. I agree with you, though -- I'd be far more up for it, socially, if I was going with a bunch of people. Because then it's... you and your friends at this party where a bunch of famous people just so happen to be, as opposed to you going to this party to meet said famous people. You know? I think it all depends on the way you look at it. If you look at it as paying to meet someone, then it SHOULD feel artificial because it is. If you're donating a little extra cash to a good organization and get to go to a fun party as a perk, then, cool.

"She's extraordinarily likeable, and I think Adam can have a sort of stealth bomb virus effect sometimes. You don't know you're infected until it's too late."

Lol, they should advertise Adam that way. :P

Didn't Scary Spice play Mimi? Hah.

I should be studying for my last final. I'm worried about it, but I'm so burned out after all my other finals that my studying's crashing and burning.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

At 4 p.m. tomorrow, I am off from school for a much-needed month. Beautiful. I'm going to spend a lot of it working on my thesis, but it'll be so, so nice to just be able to focus on that without having more immediate class obligations hanging over my head.

... if I ever get to tomorrow afternoon, that is. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2 This paper is going so poorly. As in, I have my name at the top of the page. And that be all.

Oh, and Baby Spice.

Baby Spice.

I'm off for three weeks, I plan to do a lot of baking tomorrow. Although my mom just bought the packages where I just have to cut them and put them in the oven. I think she was afraid of what her kitchen might look like if I were left to my own devices.

I haven't seen Toby Lightman's name anywhere else so far, but I assume this is correct. She's a singer/songwriter with a couple of albums out. She doesn't seem to have much theater experience though.

The second one is on my birthday. I wonder why they chose a Sunday-Monday stretch for the concerts.

Thanks, Brina - I'm all done with finals now. Good luck with your paper, Em, and remember you're almost there.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Probably because Sunday nights and Monday nights are dark for most shows. I guess it's not just about the casting, since Lea is the only one currently in a show (right?), but also so more theater people can attend that way.

Four more pages, two and a half hours. I can do this. I mean, I have no choice.

But there is a Pinter play at the end of this tunnel!

I feel like I've been replying to myself a little too much lately, but I know many of you are wrapped up in finals or making a trip home, so I'll do it again. New blog -

Hello
Hey everyone! So yes things have been changing around on the site. I forget to unpublish the page sometimes when im working on it, so you may see things change while your looking at them.
I know you all want a blog about Rent this summer. I don't know how much there is to say. I was very apprehensive to go back. I was concerned that no would really care that we were returning, I was concerned that I would not enjoy working with this cast, I was worried that we wouldn't be as good this time around etc.
I'm thrilled to say that all my fears we laid to rest on that first night. It really felt special to walk out every night to such a wonderful, heartfelt reception. But the greatest part of that, was the response of the audience at the end of the show. The cheers and standing ovations we got at the top of the show were based on history. When we got it at the end, it was for all 15 of us, and for that particular performance. That says so much about the resilliance of the show and the impact it still has when performed with committment.
I enjoyed making the film so much. As I have said before, Chris Columbus made a great movie, that has introduced Rent to a whole new audience that might not ever get to see it onstage. But I am happy that my experience with the Rent ends on the stage, where it began.
Thanks to you all for being there for Anthony and I night after night, making us feel like rockstars!

Aw, that's nice. I love how he compares it to "rock stars", which is actually kind of what it sounded like (in the theater).
