re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Oh good, I had so much fun with that thread. It started eating posts or something, though. I can't tell if it got locked or just... is acting up.

No offense, btw, I've just never been one to publicly post very much personal info. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Fantab and I were talking about that last night, skittles -- actors who very much "perform" for their fans when they meet them, and stuff. That gets kind of messy because it can lead people to believe that that's actually how they are. It's certainly not to say that actors who are nice to their fans aren't actually nice people -- it's more a matter of situations where you can tell something is a put-on versus what-you-see-is-what-you-get sincerity.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I am very nervous when it comes to meeting people. I wanted to talk to Shoshana Bean a bit, but she was in a hurry to eat, so I got an autograph and that was it. When I met Cary Shields he was at the door to the venue he was playing at eatting a doughnut and asked us who we were there to see, I think that made it a little more easier to talk to him. I saw Sinead from Canada's Next Top Model at the Eaton's Centre shopping with friends, I didn't bump into her, in that situation I felt it was better to leave it alone.

That's the extent of my encounters. I have a family friend who is in the entertainment industry and is rising up, it's interesting to hear his reactions to fans.

I agree, Emcee. There are so many actors that put on an act for the fans. And I feel kind of bad bursting people's bubbles to be like "No, that's not what they're *really* like", but at the same time, it's a disservice in general for them to be deluded expecting that same personality every single time they meet them, and telling others to expect the same.

On that note, Brian Stokes Mitchell is quite possibly the nicest person I've ever met at the stagedoor. I know it's blasphemy in this thread, but even better than Adam. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Yeah, of the actors I've met, I definitely prefer the ones who act somewhere in the middle.

My brother was in a teeny tiny show in the city for a week this summer, something that was so far from a big deal, but someone actually stopped us across town to say that they enjoyed it. It was really surreal.

aw, I love Brian Stokes Mitchell. I missed him at the flea market, but he's doing a concert at my college later in the year. I want to see him re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I feel like it's gotten pretty easy to tell when someone is being genuine and when they're putting on a show. I guess sometimes I almost take for granted that some people can't tell the difference that easily -- and that some actors aren't as easy to read as others.

Hah, we were so stupid when we met Stokes. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I'm also nervous meeting people. That's just who I am.

As for who I am, I also don't give personal info, but I will say that I am from north of NYC (not upstate, though).

*tear* Someday! But I can agree (thanks to skittles!) that he's one of the nicest people out there to his fans. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't want to claim to be an expert or something, but I think just witnessing a variety of actors interacting with fans, you start to compare.

Hee, misschung, I might have to visit to make up for my first impression. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2 When is it?

We will, Ash! Somehow! Some day! Somewhere! (Unfortunately, I will probably be just as unintentionally embarrassing as I was the first time.)

I'm not getting my hopes up for meeting him afterward, but you never know re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Oh, meeting him doesn't matter to me. Just being in the same room with him would be worth the ticket price. He could just sit there and read the US tax code and I'd still be thrilled. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

No one good ever comes to my school. It's always weird punk bands that no one's heard of before.

Hell, I'm still excited and surprised that Adam's coming 5 minutes down the road to good old gun wavin' New Haven. Close enough.

Cheryl, you can call me Jenna. I wish I could go back and change my username to something else so I could just go by that. So many reasons why I wish I had never used my real name on here.

No, me either. I feel the same way about that as I did during the Return - the performance is enough, anything more is icing on the cake. I haven't seen him since Kiss Me, Kate though - I'm so excited!

Stokes is... really, really cool. I can't do him justice. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

A spur-of-the-moment username can be frustrating to live with. Mine is an amalgamation of various nicknames, but as it's also a legit name, I think it would be too confusing to have my real name out as well. Or I just have too much internet paranoia.

hehe, the project runway episode with Adam's blue v-neck shirt is on right now

The History Channel has another show about Titanic on now about recent expeditions down there.

Link to Adam? Um. I bet that there's a lot of pascals outside the sub at the bottom of the ocean?

I thought maybe if I started watching early on, maybe that would help... so I watched this week's episode, but I was still just... not interested. I totally have a negative associative against that show that won't go away.
