I finally got a good night's sleep. Won't do much for me though, today's my big day for classes. I didn't finish my paper yesterday, it'll get in tomorrow.

oh thanks for the welcome everyone! I will DEFINATELY post a review when I get back. I don't know who else would appreciate my gushing more than you guys!
Welcome Jyn! You'll have to tell us everything! I still don't know if the concert at Illinois Wesleyan is offical, the school hasn't announced it yet. If it is offical the chances of me going are pretty slim, but there's always a little shimmer of hope. If I can't go, I'll make my brother go. I spent all day yesterday at a college visit. This college stuff is really scary. I don't think I'm ready yet! Ahhh!!!!

wow this thread is moving slow *pets*
As I'm consumed by MySpace, I decided to ask Susan Egan the question that HAD to be asked. I asked what it's like to work with Adam.

what did she say, luvtheEmcee?
Nothing yet. I sent the message like five seconds ago, literally. I'll post what she says if she responds.

You'll have to tell us what she says! :)
I think Chloe posted her answer to that question from her website here (it was something like "he's gorgeous inside and out"), but hopefully she'll answer your question a little more in depth.
It's great to see her communicating with her fans. If only Adam knew how to work a computer...

The thing I like about MySpace is that it really opens up the communication lines.
I know she really likes him, but I had to ask.

hello, siamese dream. :)
Welcome to the newcomers!
That's very cool about Susan Egan, Em. Hehe, I totally think that I should utilize MySpace more, but I'm just not a fan so far. I still haven't tried messaging Mano yet.

True, Em. I just wish it were a different medium. I'm just not a fan of so many things on MySpace, but I'm glad you seem to be finding it enjoyable.
Hey, PR. You can call me Lexi. :) I like your signature quote -- I'm a huge Chess fan!

Welcome!
I don't like it, but I've yet to run into anything creepy. It's a good way to keep up with the actors who are on it -- most of my friends aren't, since we can use Facebook.
Ooh, Chess quote! A lot of times I don't notice signatures for a while.
Okay, I have to go run in an election... wish me luck!

ooh, really? no one seems to know what it is. which versions do you have?
i would call you lexi, but i feel oddly about it on a message board. i can't exactly explain it... does it bother you if i use your screen name?
i have considered getting a myspace, but i can't get behind the narcissistic implication of a webpage devoted solely to myself that all of my acquaintances would be obligated to check on a regular basis.
My profile is ridiculously lame; it's attempted wit gone... probably poorly. Whatever. I doubt people really look at it.

Although I'm not a fan of MySpace's lack of security options, I just don't like the format in general. Too many blinking backgrounds, the extreme photowhores, too much media allowed on profiles... I don't know, I'm just not enamored with it in general. However, I definitely agree that it can be a great way to keep up with your favorite actors.
No, that's fine. Whatever you prefer. I usually offer my name to newcomers as this thread is a bit more "personal" than most on here, but you're definitely free to call me whatever you wish.
Heh, what versions don't I have? I have the Danish cast recording, the OBC, the concept album, and a recording of the 2003 concert. As everyone on here knows, I babble about that show far too often!
I have part of the Danish recording. I still prefer the benefit, I think.

I do too. I'm not sure if it's because the benefit recording was the first I heard and/or I'm biased because of Adam (and Raul to a lesser extent), but it's generally my favorite. I prefer the plotline they used at the benefit as well, which is generally an unpopular opinion. Updated On: 3/29/06 at 04:13 PM

i am happy to listen to any chess babble you have. :) the danish recording is really something, luvtheEmcee. try to find the rest of it.
how do you feel about danish freddy, siamese dream? i like that his voice does not sound as electronically processed as murray head's does on the concept record, but at times he sounds a bit strained and weak. is the obcr worth buying? i actually have a program from the broadway production... they are selling them on broadwaynewyork.com for fifteen cents. random but interesting
i completely agree about myspace.
I love them both. I kind of think the plotline of the Danish tour recording makes more logical sense and I prefer the placement of some songs, but the performances in the benefit concert are pretty much unbeatable (for the most part). I do like the Danish Freddie, though.
Lexi gets full credit for my Chess obsession. :P
Ugghh. I'm nervous. I don't know whether I need to be.

I like the benefit orchestrations, honestly. I have the OBC, but it's dead to me. I don't like it at all with the exception of VERY few songs.

I like the benefit better too (not sure if i'm just biased..as Lexi said ;])

i would love to hear the benefit.
as far as placement goes, i can not stand the relocated pity the child. why on earth would it be after florence quits? it is a complete tangent and has nothing to do with the current situation and it ruins freddy's character arc. it is like they were trying to redeem him before the show was even taken to a point at which people would care.
i think it fits best right before endgame and after talking chess. i sort of picture it like this: freddy is caught leaving the place where anatoly is after he tells him how to beat vigalland and the press jumps on him out of curiousity, then he has his little breakdown.
