re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Heh. I chose one that's old, but it's a professional photo taken a few years ago, as opposed to one from like, a concert or whatever. They just wanna make sure you can pass for a Jew is all. Long dark hair, dark eyes, I think I fit the stereotype! re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I don't think an Asian would to a Kosher hotel, IMO re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven But I would love to here reports from everybody who's going.

Angela, you have dark hair and eyes, I assume, so don't be so quick to assume they wouldn't take you. Why not give it a shot? You never know.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I just got home - sorry, I take back what I said about the lack of blog post. The blog post hadn't been posted at the time I wrote my message.

EverythingIsRENT, I had luck with getting to film a scene with Adam and seven other girls where we rushed up to him and got his autograph (art imitates life, right?).

Angela, I don't think your ethnicity would be a problem as long as you wear appropriate attire. I doubt they're going to shoot a lot of close-ups of the audience, and if they do, then I suppose they just wouldn't use your footage. I say to give it a shot.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

A lot of people often ask me if I'm Asian (or half, usually), but I do fit the standard Jewish stereotype, so you never know. Heh.

I have blue eyes...but have long brown hair. I don't really have the "Jewish" look, but what the hell, I guess i'll send a picture in.

I think it's a little bit odd that they feel like they "need" to go for the stereotypical Jew look, because obviously there are plenty of Jewish people with blonde hair or blue eyes or whatever -- people who don't "look" Jewish. I guess for a movie like this, they want to bang you over the head with stereotypes and go over the top, though.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Did they even ask for a photo, though? I know they asked for a photo in the email I received about the other scene I was in, probably to ensure that all the girls in the group looked around the same age, but the email only seems to request a name, age, and telephone number. If they didn't ask for one, they probably don't care how you look provided that you wear something in line with their wardrobe suggestions.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

They asked for a digital picture to be emailed to them if possible, then went on to explain that they need people that would look like they would be at an Orthodox Jewish resort. (too lazy to look up the exact wording). Blue eyes would be okay (the camera isn't going to be that close to you re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven), but Asian or black or whatever would be up to the filmmaker's discretion.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Hm, that's strange. I must have received a different email, because there's no mention of a photo in mine. Maybe they already knew what I looked like and didn't feel the need to ask.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

The email I received didn't ask for a photo either. I considered sending another email this morning with a photo but didn't want to inundate their inbox. I guess I'll just take my chances.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I'm sure you'll be fine, sweetdisaster. I honestly think that worrying about your looks or photos isn't worth it, because I just can't imagine them turning you away at the door as long as you followed all of the other instructions. It's an indie movie with a really lax crew. The "worst" thing they'd probably do is fail to have a close-up shot of you. I'd imagine that they're probably shooting very few close-up shots anyway and will probably pick a few people who truly fit the Orthodox Jew bill for a few close-up audience reaction shots. (Not directed specifically at you - just to everyone here)

I'm really looking forward to hearing about it! I wonder how "shocking" the act is really going to be.

ETA: It looks like they probably sent out two versions of emails - an earlier one without the picture request and a later one (and probably similar to what was posted on MySpace) with the request.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I do have dark hair & dark eyes, but pretty tan skin. I'll guess I'll go for it. I suppose it'll make up for not meeting him at the Queens show. But I don't think I would be able to get a ride there. So if I do get accepted (Heh, sounds like applying for schools), I don't want to say at the last minute that I can't go.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

There are bound to be a few people who say they're going and then can't make it. Maybe one of your parents or a friend who drives would like the idea of being in a movie. I hope you can work it out.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I do hope that some of you are able to make it.

After staying up to 1 am working on our board last night, my group project from hell finished today, complete with a blow-up from the girl who did absolutely nothing and then sent us wrong information. (Our project was on Jehovah's Witnesses, she said their God was Allah).

I just got back from my second viewing of Wicked with Sho and Megan, and they were just as incredible as last time, now I have to start studying for my 8 am exam.

I need to vent:

My car broke and I wasn't able to get to school on time today and now my mom has to drive me everywhere. I failed a math test and I have a huge headache. Plus I have 2 dance classes tonight, I have to work, and I have to write a 7 minute speech. Life is unfair!!!!
