That's what my friend does
Actually, NunAdam came about months before Cortland. Which is why I nearly had a heart attack hearing him sing The Sound of Music.
AP tests were a joke. The classes were so much harder than what college classes actually are. My friends were having emotional breakdowns over AP bio and I slept through the equivilant class my freshman year and still got a better grade than them.
Reading all your stresses of AP classes makes me glad I didn't have to take any of those courses. I'm also glad I didn't really have to do any standardized tests in high school either. I had to do one literacy test, but they ended up not including it because they felt sorry for us double cohort kids.
They didn't count your literacy test!? What school did you go to Snowbird?
Do you all remember NFL Dad? It's no longer listed on IMDb, but at one time Adam was rumored to be cast in it along with Katherine Heigl. Seeing the thread about her comments at the Golden Globes reminded me. She's very pretty, one of the few women there who didn't look overly skinny and gaunt.
They didn't count any for my grade. I was the first year that didn't go on to OAC, so they felt sorry for screwing us so badly and decided not to count the test after stressing us all out about it and decided not to count it after we had taken the test. And despite that run-on sentence, I did pass it.

Aw, the infamous NFL Dad...yes, I do love Katherine Heigl (even if I don't always love Izzie on Grey's)...
So does anyone have any suggestions for wasting time while stuck inside because of ice/snow/blizzards? Looks like I may be spending yet another day inside and I'm starting to get antsy...

I definitely have lots of experience with being stuck inside due to the weather... like today (and probably tomorrow). Put on some comfy clothes, turn up the heat and your stereo, and give your room a huge cleaning out. It makes me happy. Or pick out some movies and don't leave the couch all day. Although if my brother has another day off from school tomorrow, we are building a snowman!
I'm afraid giving one's room a huge cleaning out is probably not as popular with everybody else as it is with you, Allie, but I admire your love for cleanliness and wish I had a little of it myself.
Adam's concert at Duke is coming up in two days (Friday). Is anyone from here going?
I'm quite curious to hear what the new song list will be.

My friend from high school (who now attends Duke) is going, but I don't think she's familiar with Adam's solo work and really isn't the type to go into detail anyway. I'm sure she'll enjoy the show, though.

Lexi, did you go to Daphne's show?
Allie, I think I would much rather be a bum and watch movies all day. Cleaning is not my idea of fun.. although I have these weird sudden urges once in a while to re-organize myself..

Yeah, I started a topic about it on the main board. You might have to look back a couple pages to find the thread.
Allie, I love organizing and cleaning. I just cleaned out my room last week after my finals.
I don't like cleaning, my room gets a little dusty from time to time, and when I attempt to clean it all hell breaks loose with allergies/asthma, so it's best to let it be. However, I love organizing and reorganizing, mostly my school notes, but I've had to rearrange one of my closets in order to make room for all the art supplies I'll have to buy.
My little sister desperately wanted to go to Adam's Duke gig, but my parents wouldn't let her.
Aw, poor kid. Do they think she's too young or something?
It's on a Friday night, and we're semi-observant Jews. We don't disrupt Friday night family dinners unless it's for an extremely important/rare reason. Evidently, Adam doesn't cut it. Also, my sister's Bat Mitzvah is in, like, three weeks, so they think she should go to synagogue, even though she knows everything.
Well, I can see their point, though I'm a very unreligious former Christian myself. I don't suppose it would help if she told them that Adam is Jewish? And congratulations to your sister on her Bat Mitzvah.
Thanks.
Hah, I don't think so; they'd probably just say that HE shouldn't do the gig on Friday night and that he's a bad role model. I seriously wouldn't put it past them. My father dislikes The Ellen Degeneres Show because once when he was watching, Donald Trump happened to be part of it.
Your dad seems to take things very seriously. I'm not a Trump fan, but what in particular did he find so offensive?
He takes anything having to do with television and pop culture very seriously. My life has been one struggle with him over the tv after another. He just feels that Trump embodies nothing good and promotes bad morals or something. I despise Donald Trump as well, but I love Ellen.
I think the problem with taking people like Trump too seriously is that it gives him even more power. Laughing at him is more effective at reducing his influence than taking a righteous stance against him.
I agree. Maybe I'll suggest that to my dad.

I just hate Trump..everything about me just makes me mad at him. But yea, I can't help but laugh at his foolishness.
Aw, Elphie, I'm sorry your sister won't be able to make it to Adam's concert.
