Moi aussi!
Right, Sherie is hilarious in that interview. I've always liked Adam's first Chatterbox a lot, but there's no question that the second has more of interest in it.
I don't have the first one, but I did get the second one a little while ago. Definitely had a few things I didn't know before.
My mom really didn't believe me when I told her that it was Adam in the second one.
Yeah, the first time I was watching it, she walked in and said "Who's that?" She wouldn't accept that it was Adam for the longest time because she wasn't with me when I saw Cabaret.
My dad's been out of town, and he forgot it's my birthday. I suppose it's lovable in a sort of depressing way.
Awww, Ariella
Happy birthday though.
My mom was more like "who's that goofball? Is that Adam? He looks like he's nine!"
My mom came in when he was talking about pot, and she was like, "so, he isn't a role model for you, is he?"
Thanks, Em. I have to say his forgetfulness was almost worth it, because the look on his face when I reminded him was priceless.
My first year of college, I got really, really sick and I ended up going home for a couple of days just to be... sick in my own bed, or whatever. I was teetering on the edge of delirium for a few days, and ALL I wanted to do during this illness was watch the same two or three things over and over and over again. One of them was Adam's Chatterbox video, so nearly every time my mom came in to check on me, I was laying in bed laughing my ass off at Adam on TV. She actually yelled at me about it, like "don't you ever watch anything else?" but I was sick and it made me happy.
Happy Birthday Ariella
I really wanna get those Chatterbox DVDs, but I'm kinda broke. My parents don't really wanna get them for me because they don't even know Adam. They just refer to him as "the long haired one in Rent."
Tell your parents that they can write it off, since the money goes to BC/EFA.
Happy Birthday Ariella!
I should get around to ordering those Chatterboxes too.
Thanks so much guys
The Chatterboxes are well worth it. You should give your parents a lecture on Adam, Angela. Just extol all his virtues for an extended amount of time and soon your mom will be talking about how cute he is.
I'll have to get around to explaining Adam to her. She did see him on Cold Case when it was last on, and mentioned that he got thinner. Then I mentioned he moved to LA, and she got it But she just got me the Spring Awakening cast recording today, which I have been begging for since before Christmas. So I'll give it a waiting period.
Happy Birthday Ariella!
I don't have either of Adam's chatterboxes. I've got Anthony's, Mano's, one of Raul's and I just ordered Bebe's.
Aww, Nun!Adam. It's been too long without a visit from him
Pssst, Mandi, do you still have Nun!Adam and the cliff?
Heee, that's the best.
YAY!
Now that made my day Happy B-Day Ariella!!

Hah, Angela, my parents just pretend not to know who Adam is and then refer to him as "that Pascal guy". I always have to remind her that, yes, she saw him in Aida.
Happy Birthday, Ariella
Edit: Also, I could be very wrong in assuming this, but does Adam on a cliff have anything to do with Emcee asking me if I remembered Adam singing the Sound of Music in Cortland?

Hahah, it does. When Adam said he was going to be singing "Maria" at his gigs, there was some confusion as to whether it was the one from West Side Story, or The Sound of Music. Adam belted out a line to the version from The Sound of Music at the Cortland show, and then said something like "not what you were expecting, huh?" (I don't remember the wording, exactly). As a joke following the confusion, Mandi had created "Nun Adam;" I'm assuming you've seen The Sound of Music, right? So you can figure out the significance. Mandi thought she might be able to go to the Cortland show, so it was really ironic that he sang from the show at THAT particular gig. We thought he might be reading.
Ohh, that is funny, and makes a little more sense! At the time, I probably I assumed that he was doing that at all of his gigs. I hadn't even thought about it until you asked and connected it to that specific show. So when I saw that, I kinda put two and two together. It does seem like a funny coincidence. Too funny, that Adam.
