I really have to start watching these RENT clips!
Cute pics! Not exactly a Daphne fan, but he looks good!
Hello all,
yes I have been bitter and gone for a few days, but I am over it and back! It figures that when I check the board everyday nothing happens but I have a fit for a week and 10 pages later here I am. I even missed the spring awakening thing, oh well I dont want to bring it up but I am sad that Lexi and I must of found something we disagree on, I liked it, well kind of. I cant really decide, I know I like the music but I left the show a bit disapointed. I really want to see it again to make a final decision.
Welcome to the thread misschung, tell us about your adam "faness" how long, where did it start, what have you seen, all the good stuff!
ETA- To the stage, I made the same mistake, in NOT watching GA from the beginning, trieng to catch up was a labor of love!
I hope we didn't do anything to make you bitter and leave!!! Happy you are back!

my Adam love is not an exciting story. I saw Rent twice back in the day - like 1997 or so and then again around 1999. It wasn't until the rent film came out in 2005 that I really noticed him. then of course came the internet stalking, my renewed love for the OBC and show, and ordering his cd's...
:o)
HA, no it wasnt y'all. I am glad to be back though!

Misschung, I find it interesting that Adam didn't make that much of an impression on you when you saw him originally in Rent, but the movie got your attention. Some fans went the opposite way. (That's assuming you actually saw him back in '97, rather than an understudy or replacement.) Considering how much controversy and criticism his performance in the movie aroused, he's gotten quite a few fans out of it.

You know what? I think that I missed him when I saw the show originally on Broadway - I might have been a few months too late for the whole original cast. And of course I can't find my first program/stub so there is no way of knowing!
But yeah, I think that the film gives you a closer look at the cast - much more than what you can see from them onstage. Of course I have always loved their voices from the soundtrack, but in terms of actually seeing them all so close I think the film is great.
So many people hate the movie version, but I think it is what it is and it could have been such a disaster! In my opinion, at least.
PS - thanks for all the welcome posts :o)
Finally watched all 4 days of the Rent videos. Love the comparison videos, but, man, Adam - the socks in the interview video, lol!

I remember that post vividly! Hah, that was what clued us into the fact that he's reading RIGHT NOW.
Thank you, Lexi. You officially made my night.

If Adam is reading RIGHT NOW, some advice:
Don't put anything with lanolin or vitamin A from an animal source (listed as Retin, Retin A, Retinol, or Vitamin A) on your skin. That may be what is irritating it.
I don't know if you guys care about Jesse but he will be on TV a lot tomorrow. In addition to Law & Order, he is on Regis and Kelly (warning: Geraldo is co-hosting). Lifetime is airing one of his movies, "Deep in My Heart." It should be on at noon but check your local listings.
Have a good night, everyone. I'm getting signing off before my computer crashes again.

Unless you're his dermatologist, that's a bit personal...
Jesse wasn't in Down To You. That's a bad romantic comedy with Freddie Prinze Jr. and Julia Stiles. I wanted to correct that before someone rushed out and bought the DVD.

Thanks. I've been trying to edit it ever since I hit "Post Message." My computer only took 13 minutes to let me back in. The movie is "Deep in My Heart." "Down to You" is a Rosario movie.
Pity the person who went out and bought Down to You for that reason, since it's a terrible movie.

I can think of a healthy handful of things I'd love to see Adam Pascal give Masterpiece Theatre interpretations of. Part of his great appeal is that purported ratings of any of those performances would run the entire MPAA gamut.
He can start with the shooting script of Down To You.
I'm more familiar with Down to You than I'd like to be, and not sure that even Adam could enliven it.
Be sure to check out the Day 5 Rent clip - another little piece from the Symphony Space Q&A.
You've gotta love that the Day 5 clip is all about Adam, hey? I'm definitely loving these.
(Sorry, long-time thread lurker... LOVE the last round of pics everyone's posted :) )
...and WHY have I never seen that lj post? How frickin cute was that? Does anyone know if that zena or whoever he said wrote it know about him reading her post on stage? Oh and can I just say kudos to Pascal for calling people out on thier internet evilness! I needed that at the moment.
grrr, I can do pretty much anything I want at work, except watch videos. I'll have to check both out later, gives me something to look forward too.

I love the last video about "that would have been enough"
Wilson's face is so funny too, I love him.
Is anyone else noticing the sticker on the bottom of tracie's shoe? Or am I the only weirdo who sees those things?
Hi misschung!
Stickers on the bottom of shoes are such a pet peeve of mine.
That video from the concert is hilarious. I tried watching it at work last night with headphones, but apparently they weren't plugged in all the way. I turned around and ten people were looking at me with 'what the hell is that?' faces. Was that post from this thread?
I want to watch these videos, but I'm STILL not able to use my laptop because, although they replaced the part that was messed up, the new power adapter I need is on backorder.
