Wow, you've got it nailed!
What can I say? I'm consistent. He's also really funny, which is always a plus.
I like that so many of them wear glasses, too.
I love Colbert. I should really put him on a season pass for my Tivo. Hehe
Regina makes passes at boys who wear glasses.
I have a small crush on Colbert.
Sorry I missed your question earlier, Ashley. I really enjoyed Ellen, especially her opening monologue. Some of the later stuff didn't work as well. As the Times said, she set the tone for the show, so was responsible for the more relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. I can't compare hosts that well because I've been mostly avoiding the show the last few years.
By the way, another plus was the dearth of horrendously awkward scripted banter between presenters before they get down to business. It kind of defeats the whole purpose of the Oscars to so clearly illustrate the acting limitations of those poor presenters, though Duse herself probably couldn't have made that stuff sound good. I think that's what has driven me away from awards shows more than anything else.

I wonder what Adam would look like with glasses. Has this ever happened?
And yeah, a tiny one, Emcee. :P
Thanks, Chloe. I agree that the scripted banter was kept to a minimum, which was great. And even the awkwardness that was the presentation of Best Costumes was redeemed by Meryl Streep's awesome reaction.

He did in Temptation! Hahah.
Yes. TINY!
I really need to see that freakin movie!
Hmm, in the right frames he would probably look very sexy!
Seriously, WHY is that movie not available to the fangirls public?
It really does need to be shared. It was so wonderful in every awful way possible.
It's seriously and irredeemably strange according to the few people who've seen it, including Emcee.
I got School of Rock - watched Adam's part, fast forwarded to the end, saw Adam - turned it off.
I got SLC Punk but still have to watch it.
Obviously, have RENT. I have the "My Fav BW: The Love Songs" too.
Am I missing any other Adam featured DVD's other than temptation?
You should watch all of School of Rock. I'm not a Jack Black fan by any measure, but movie is actually *really* funny. The kids are hysterical.
I expected to like it, but I made it 15 minutes in and couldn't take it. The ending was cute though, I will admit.
I like SLC Punk more than School of Rock, actually. I thought School of Rock was fun, but I don't think I'll ever want to watch it a second time.
I need to try SLC Punk! again.
Yeah, School of Rock is worth watching.
Tink, there are the Chatterboxes, if those count, and a couple of years ago I was able to get a tape of the BC/EFA benefit tribute to Elton John in which Adam performed. I don't know if it's still available or not, but I think I got it from their site.
Yes, I do need to get those Chatterbox episodes. I read his book (The Q Guide to Broadway). It was a quick read but entertaining!
I meant to ask if that was ever made into an actal production DVD. His version of "Someone Saved my Life Tonight" was what sealed my love for him, lol. I found it through a random search early last year and listened to it like 5 times in a row, amazed. That's when I started looking into what else he did, and long story short...I'm here! It was my myspace song for so long, until people got really annoyed at the intro! I'm going to their site now.
I should mention that neither the Chatterboxes nor the Elton benefit are what I'd call professionally shot. No editing or special lighting, just someone with a camera recording everything, kind of like one step up from a boot.
Oh, that's fine with me. I looked on their site and can't find it. There are pictures but that's it. Hmmm, let me do some research, lol!

Earlier today, I found a CD filled with files that I didn't really need on my computer anymore.
It's tempting me to make a picture post. But I feel so silly.
