Awww, thats ok! Bleache...should only be used for clothing NOT hair~ By the by, I hope I'm not being too noisy or anything, but what is Rentsecert #28?
There's a Live Journal community called Rentsecrets where people post attacks on the show's performers. That's not what it's supposed to be and there are other kinds of "secrets," but that's what it's mostly turned into. I don't recommend it, because once you've looked at it, it's hard to resist the temptation to see how far down on the vulgarity scale it's gone this week. Whereas you are in a position to avoid polluting your mind by just never looking at it.
Anyway, secret #28 this week is a picture of Adam's two sons with text to the effect that the poster fantasizes about her daughter marrying one of them and having the most beautiful grandchildren ever.
Hehe, I said the same thing to Lexi yesterday, Emcee. It's just...he looks so much better with brown hair. Doesn't he? I kind of feel like the blond ages him a bit.
The main problem with Rentsecrets is that there's only so much you can say about one show before it ends up getting hopelessly repetitive.
I've decided that most guys look bad with bleached blonde hair. Few can pull it off...but the majority of them can't.
At least it's not blue. Or super bleached as it was during the West End production of Rent.
I'm inclined to agree with you, Mandi. There's a punk movement among some of the boys at my school, which is ridiculous considering they're mostly rich preps. It's cringe-worthy to see the bleached hair followed by popped collars and polo shirts.
Adam's been bleaching his hair for at least ten years, so I don't think he's going to stop now. Someone will have to wrestle the stuff away from him. (Don't all raise your hands at once.)
I'm not as fond of the dark brown look as some of you - Brentwood seemed like a good compromise.
I'm taking Chloe's advice and staying far, FAR away from that~and on bleaching, there really is only one guy I saw who could actually pull it off. His name is Bryce Ryness, and he played Roger during the Rent tour (I saw it in August, I'm no longer a Rent virgin; huzzah!) I mean, his was more of a highlighted look, but still...he was defiantly very sexy.
Brentwood was a great look for him. It was one of my favorites to date.
Brina - I love Bryce. He's absolutely gorgeous, and I think he looks great with the bleach hilights. He was one of my favorite Rogers, and I've seen quite a few. I saw him (and this cast of Rent) in California and Minnesota this summer. They were really surprised to see me again - halfway across the country.
*pokes head back into the thread*
After acquiring many cuts, bruises, pains, & aches, I'm happy to say that I've made it back here in one piece
Seems like news here has been slow, & probably will be slow until Adam's NY shows. I have to agreee that Rentsecret #28 is really sketchy.
Hey Angela, it sounds like you had quite a strenuous vacation. You're right, it's been rather quiet on the Adam front, aside from the never-ending fascination of the myspace posts.
They never cease to amuse, terrify, and disturb me.
I hope you're not too bruised up, Angela. My bruise looks kind of green right now, and I'm hoping that won't be a problem.
I'm pretty much ok, but thanks for asking
Myspace Post of the day:
comment 4 2day
and none 4 yesterday
today4u tomorrow 4 me!
no day but 2day right?
sorry all rent obsessed right now
It ceases to amaze me how some of Adam's fans are only aware of him as Roger/the guy in Rent.
Ariella~You saw him in Minnesota too? I guess it is a small world after all! Myspace...ugg, what a love hate realtionship...I'm a little embarrased to be one of Adam's friends there...I don't know..it just feels like a gathering of people who seem to only want to tell him he's sexy or throw Rent related things at him (sorry if I affend any other of his myspace friends, but thats just my feelings towards it).
Speaking of myspace, Adam just posted a new blog entry, talking about the new tour and saying he now frequently checks out his myspace and reads the posts. (Oh dear?) Anyway, he says that since he will be doing both shows with Larry and shows with a band in the future, he wants to come up with a name for him and Larry as a duo to avoid confusing people as to what they'll be seeing. He's asking for everyone's help with that, but says "you wont win anything if we use your name except the insurmountable joy of doing me a kindness!...and maybe a free cd when it comes out...maybe not...."
Meanwhile, that Indiana date has now disappeared.
I laughed way too hard at that blog. You'd think someone would like, edit it... or that he'd at least run a grammar/spell check on it before putting it in public. Does he WANT to look incompetent?
At least there are no really bad typos this time. I assume he just doesn't care about how he comes off to people, which is pretty much how he always seems to have been.
But on to the important thing - anyone have ideas for a name for them?
Well, fashion and persona is one thing. Grammar and basic intelligence is another. I'd hate for people to read that and think "wow, what a complete and total dimwit." Your and you're, site and sight. Basic.
I have no ideas at all. I'm so bad at that.
I've got it! I'm going to get a CD that I wont listen to!
Ready?

The Adam and Larry Spectacular!
Oh yes.
In that case you can send it to me, Mandi. I was sure you were going to do some variation on Nun!Adam for your title.
It's surprisingly difficult to come up with anything for them.
Emcee, if it's any consolation, Thomas Wolfe, author of the American classic Look Homeward, Angel couldn't spell worth a damn either.
I think that Nun!Adam should be incorporated into the cover art somehow.
I can see it now, Adam looking all artistic/musician-y w/ a tiny picture of Nun!Adam in the background.
I would guess their name would be symbolic. But I love the Adam & Larry Spectacular!
I've spent the last 10 minutes coming up with the most godawful names imaginable. No wonder they're asking for help.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Emcee here. Not to discourage him from communicating with fans if he's reading these posts as well, but I think a grown man should know the difference between "your" and "you're." It's kind of embarassing.
PS: Adam, if you really are reading this, I still love you. Don't hate me at the NY shows!

I'll give someone a cookie if they comment suggesting The Adam and Larry Spectacular.
And, I doubt the majority of the people who read his myspace will notice those errors...

I was shocked to poke my head in and discover a new blog...finally! Hopefully more news/stuff is on the way...it's been a while...I'm gonna have to agree with basic grammar/English things, it's just better for everyone...
I do wish I had some totally awesome name. Alas, I'm not so creative...
And speaking of cookies, I baked for the first time in a long time. Frosting, sprinkle sugar cookies. Muy fantastico.
