I haven't been around for the past couple of days, but I see that there are some new pics of Adam in his bleached state and a Myspace blog featuring less-than-stellar grammar.
I think good points have been made on both sides of the spelling and grammar debate. I'm generally a stickler for proper spelling and grammar, but I can understand that some people aren't and tend to let those things slide in informal writing, such as a message board or Myspace post.
I know this is from a couple of pages back, but I couldn't help laughing:
I could barely lift the bench-press BAR. Yes, the bar. No weights on it at all.
Lexi, are we long-lost twins or something? :-P That was my high school gym experience in a nutshell.
While I don't LIKE it, I understand it, too, in an informal setting. BUT, since Adam is using MySpace on a professional level, it should be treated as such. He's not a teenager there for friends networking.
Since I'm actually working again for a while, I had to duck out last night and go to bed. I don't feel I was able to explain my thoughts about this in a way that anyone really understood, so I'm going to drop it.
Meanwhile, someone over at CB says they're going to the show at Rider, so I guess it actually exists.
The image Adam projects and the reasons behind it seem to be a recurring topic for discussion. It's similar to when he wore the surfing baseball hat in L.A., and it was the question of which was funnier: the idea of Adam actually surfing or Adam wearing a surfing logo to fit in with the west-coast crowd (did you say that on IMDb, Lexi? Can't remember). It's the same here - is he gramatically impaired (so to speak) or trying to fit in with the myspace community where even rudimentary mechanics seem to be disregarded? Em brought up a good point, though - that his myspace is for professional purposes, not social. My opinion is that he was just in a hurry (I know I've made homonym/homophone mistakes in hastily written papers) and just didn't bother to edit.
Nice to see you, Jessica. I think you and Lexi together would make one of me.
I'd forgotten about the surfing hat thing. That was funny. I wonder if we'll finally solve the mystery of the necklace, assuming he wears it this time.
Homophones are the easiest mistake for me. I have to be very careful about there/their/they're. One thing I don't understand is why so many people seem to have forgotten how to spell "lose." I have the impression that a few people started spelling it "loose" and everyone followed sheeplike behind them.
We had an almost an entire Spanish class devoted to "loose" vs. "lose." And yes, I said Spanish. Although a relatively recent immigrant from Cuba, my teacher clearly has a better grasp of the English language than those of us who were raised speaking it.
I was a really good speller up until I got into 7th grade. I was the alternate for my class in our annual 5th-9th grade spelling bee.
Ah, my sister is driving me nuts by showing me different pictures of many of her friends w/ Adam back in his Aida days.

Woohoo, I am SOOOO drunk right now! Anyway, Adam wore that surfing logo on his hat at that Larson show... Kolstof, I think...
Yay ADAM!!! Only a few more days (weeks?)!
The sad thing is that I think I can type better drunk than he can when he's sober...
That's probably very true
Glad you're enjoying yourself Lexi. I'm so jealous of all of you who get to see Adam soon. January seems such a long time away...
Drink some water...
And there is no excuse for poor grammar and spelling, ever. That's what SpellCheck was invented for.

I'll be fine. :)
I promise I won't be like this at Adam's shows... I actually want to to remember them!
God, I can't believe I'm drunk on a Monday night!
You'll have fun in January, Ariella.
It's funny how you manage to *read* drunk without making any actual mistakes. Maybe it's the exuberance. Anyway, glad you had fun.

Hey Jessica. Congratulations on reaching 21, I think I missed that at the time.

No, what did you say??
We will go out in January. After Company, and after Raul signs our posters. Fantab and Chica walked me back to my dorm... Chica said I'm a fun drunk, so we'll have a ton of fun. :)
Edit: okay, chloe, but it's sooo sad that I'm here, drunk, on a Monday night! I have classes tomorrow...

I have to work tomorrow, so I'll be getting off soon anyway. It's just a lot of fun to see you so happy and excited.
Wow, I wish it was the weekend. Lexi, I'm sending you cyber-advil. In thought at least. I hope you don't need it. At least you don't have a long drive or anything tomorrow morning. Nothing worse than a hangover and a drive back, believe me.

I hope he's reading these messages!
I'm looking at the pictures now and wow, Mano's shirt was hideous... he gave me a hug, though...
It was worse than the see-through white/glod thing?

IT waslike Jackson Pollock. Splaoches of paint everywhere. SOO ugly. I will post pictures soon!
Don't worry, I'll email your posts to him. (And if you take that seriously, you're *really* drunk.) I'm glad to hear Adam hasn't completely cornered the market on hideous shirts.
Why can't boys just wear like, a plain colored shirt?
