Hey, guys. Did I read on this thread or somewhere that the Rider College concert wasn't happening? I'm just wondering why it was listed in the Playbill article. Maybe I'm thinking of something else?

We don't know for sure and don't have information like the venue, ticket prices and where to buy them. Since myspace, Larry Edoff and now Playbill all list it, there seems to be a good chance that it's happening. It used to be listed as Westminster Choir College, which is a part of Rider. I don't think they're involved though.
While I'm at it, a-p.com does now have the NKU info.
Greaves Hall, Fine Arts Building. Please note that the show is at 7 rather than 8. Tickets are $3 for NKU students and $5 for the rest of the public, and can be purchased from the NKU Office of Student Life in the University Centre. Out-of-towners can call the Office of Student Life at 859 572-6514 and make arrangements to reserve tickets through pre-payment.
I'm pretty sure one of the posters here was interested in that.

Yes, Larry's website seems generally up-to-date and accurate and lists the Rider date, so it seems like a go. Are you planning to attend, bdwaygirl?
Thanks, Chloe. SD, I'd definitely go to that one, if it's open to the public. It's only about a 30-40 minute drive for me.

Yeah, $5 seems like quite a bargain. Let us know if it's even close to sold-out - I don't know if there's been any publicity at all.
Oh, I'm talking about the Rider U concert, not the Kentucky one.

It's the Kentucky show that's $5, Lexi, but it certainly is a bargain. I hope that someone from here can go to that one and report back. The colleges don't have to do much publicity I suppose, since they have sort of a built in audience. I'm wondering if the Rider one is closed to the public, and that's why there's no information about it.

Oh, sorry for mixing up the prices! Well, regardless, there hasn't been much publicity for either, although you have a point about the Rider concert perhaps being closed to the public. We'll see how everything turns out in a couple of weeks.
I really have nothing new or interesting to say, but I'm bumping because our poor thread was halfway down on page 2. =(
Can't have that.
I feel for you with the paper, Lexi. We've gotten some pretty odd assignments in lit this year. The worst was the introductory one, where we had to address the topic "what does it mean to be an American" - pretty bad, just asking for patriotic pontificating. Hadn't had to do a paper that clumsy since middle school.
I just saw Emcee's post about this year's 24 Hour Plays. The cast list is already pretty impressive, including Jennifer Anniston and Jesse Martin. There are some people from last year, and of course I'm hoping one more from last year shows up too. It's Oct. 23rd, so not impossible. They only list 15 so far, and last year there were 26 or so.

Yes, I read that post a few hours ago. The cast looks awesome! Is anyone planning on going?
I'm not sure - it's $200 and the only seats available from the official site are in the mezzanine. Last year I got a seat in the second row.
*edited to avoid saying "available" quite so often.

Yea..I just looked them up and got the same results. I won't be able to go anyway. *shrug* I hope someone from here gets to go!
I have a pic of Adam and me at my desk. Someone was just over here talking to me, and all of a sudden they picked the picture up to look at it more closely. You'll never guess who they thought it was!!
They asked if he was the Naked Cowboy??!! I can't even wrap my mind around how they came up with that one.

Since Adam usually wears clothes, doesn't have hair halfway down his back and never wears a cowboy hat, that does seem like quite a stretch!
That made me lol.
Adam's myspace is now listing an appearance at Indiana University/Bloomington on Oct. 15, the day after his Queens date. He was there back in April. Could this be right?
I don't know what to believe anymore.... =P
It's not listed on their website, but what else is new. Possibly it's at a different school, on a different date, or both.
Adam's myspace never ceases to be confusing (and some of the comments never cease to be crazy)
Hi Ariella. I feel bad for the ones who keep asking if it's really him online, or for him to message them. Maybe Sh-K-Boom figures that explaining how his myspace works would turn people off.
Me too. I cringe whenever someone says it's their birthday and it would just make their day to have a comment back.
