Heh, Lexi. Mine too!
Did anyone find out the time and place of the shooting? Can anyone be an extra? Haha..I would so do it!
So Adam moves to LA in order to make getting movie roles easier, yet the first gig he gets is one being shot in NYC. I know, logically he may not have been able to audition if he had been here and not there, but still, the irony...

Emcee, shush.
We're getting a free concert on Saturday. That's all I care about!
Well, it's probably more like "fake concert" on a movie set, with like, some music playback and lots of cuts and redos and people yelling at us through bullhorns.
Can't wait!
Of course the shoot is this week when I was just in the city two weekends in a row. I'm supposed to be going home for Thanksgiving break, but if I can find someone to go with maybe I'd stay around.
Did anyone find out the times yet?
I really want to go, but I'm hoping they give more information than just the location, time and what to wear. I want the informational equivalent of those "chicken out now" doors on scary rides at Disney World, like what this entails, because frankly, I'm not sure if I love Adam enough to suck up my severe camera shyness. I want enough information that I can make an educated decision!

I just e-mailed them not to long ago..i'll let you know of the response..
Do you HAVE to be an extra? Or can you just watch?
I'm with you Em on the camera shyness. But what the hell..I guess i'll do it. It just depends on what exactly you have to do.
I have a dance class that I already signed up for at 1 and it ends at 2. I hope it's earlier/later than that.

Damn it.
I sent an e-mail, but I should have explicitly asked for information on what you have to do, because otherwise I might not get it.
The bulletin said they were theater scenes, which I'm assuming means they're being shot indoors. So I guess if you were to watch, you'd be inside no matter what, so you might as well be in the "audience?"

I can't imagine that they'd be incredibly pissed if you showed up and preferred just to watch from the back of the theatre. Personally, I'm an attention whore and want my oh-so-sexy face and Jewish (okay, Italian) nose all over the film as much as possible, so I don't really have a problem with it, but I can definitely see why some people might not be into the camera element of it all.
I'm kidding. Kind of.
Anyway, no, I haven't received an email in response yet. I actually emailed them about two weeks ago asking if there were any extra opportunities in NYC and didn't receive a response to that, so hopefully they're better about replying to these emails.
ETA: That's what I was thinking, Emcee, although I'd imagine that your face might be briefly visible in the film on some of the shots of the audience. Like I said, I personally wouldn't mind that, but I don't think they'd actually kick you out of the theatre if you'd rather just stand out of the way of the camera.

Wow, that's awesome that you guys are gonna be extras. I asked my mom about flying out for the weekend, and she gave me one of those "looks." My grandpa had a heart attack last weekend, so we all flew out to California right away... Luckily he pulled through (my grandparents are all crazily resilient) so we just came back to Minnesota. Definitely no chance of New York. I wish you all luck in your film endeavor...

OH MY GOD I AM SO EXCITED. Adam and Company in the same DAY. I can barely stand it.
If anyone comes with their pile of the Rent DVD, the Rent Bible, the Rent soundtrack, and random Rent playbills for Adam to sign, I'm gonna slap them. Because you KNOW some obnoxious girl is going to show up and ruin it for everyone.
I think what they'll probably do is make a list of all of the people who e-mail in inquiry and then send out a mass response, rather than responding individually.
Anyway, I'm still on the fence. We'll see. The fact that the bulletin said "all day" kind of makes me reluctant as well. I know, I'm a party pooper.
I hope your grandpa's ok, Ariella.

I'm really excited too!
I'll bring all of my rent merchandise and i'll even wear my rent shirt! Maybe he'll sign it!!!

"MaryKate Loves Adam Pascal" from West Virginia on MySpace is "cominggggggggggggggggggg." OH YAY!
Alex, if you go, it'll be great to meet you.
Emcee, I really hope you can come, but I understand your position. If this was over Thanksgiving weekend, there would be no way that I could do it considering the amount of work I have to do then. I guess I just lucked out.
Oh, I am so with Em and Alex on the camera shyness... I think it sounds interesting, but I wouldn't want to like... be on camera unless it was in anonymous crowd shots. I'm curious to hear what they tell those of you who email them.
People are travelling for this? Yikes.
Yeah, it'll be great to finally meet you, Alex, since we missed you at the concert!

SeriousF*CKingly? Markykate would drive all the way from Virginia to be an extra?
Sorry..I just had to throw that in somewhere.
I am going to be in the city that whole day so I will most likely be there. I am excited about meeting you too.

I'm not sure. Maybe she thinks that her parents will drive her to NYC that weekend. Good luck, dearie.
Alex, I'll PM you with my picture. I know I posted my picture in here way back when, but I'm not sure if you remember. I don't want to post it in here and risk Connie photoshopping my nose larger than it already is.
I'm in the "stuck in Minnesota" position as well. But I hope people take lots of pictures or post about the day, that be great to see

Hee, that's what skittles and I were saying earlier! Unfortunately, me wearing a low-cut top for Bobby would prove largely disappointing. However, skittles and I are completely down for bringing the Grey Goose.
The camera's gonna love you guys. For your sake, I seriously hope MaryKate Loves Adam Pascal is stuck in W. Virginia and has no chance of "comingggggggggggggg" to New York.
I don't know how the camera feels about me, but I sure don't like it.
