I was actually talking about his supposed growing belly.
I dunno. I like this thread as a sort of home base, but I have to agree that it feels a little random to just... bump it for the sake of bumping it, in a way. There are definitely times when we're all posting at the same time and it gets really conversational, even about mundane topics, but it's always seemed a little strange to me to try to find things to talk about that are Adam related when there just... are none. Like, it's okay if we're not on page one, you know? :)
I know you weren't singling me out, Lexi. I can do that perfectly well myself. I agree that there's no reason to bump the thread just to bump it. I wouldn't mind a bit more off-topic conversation at times though.
Meanwhile, it's not much, but I found an article about the Aida tour which must have been written by fan of Adam's, since she spends a whole paragraph on how he originated the role of Radames.

Heh, she was subtle.
Yeah, nice job. I would say she's someone who's worn out her Aida cast recording.
For some reason it came back to me that Heather planned to come back for the last couple of months before it closed along with Adam, but then couldn't do it. That would have been incredible.
Oooh, I didn't know that.
And Lexi, it's CUTE belly.
I think Heather mentioned it in an interview a little while afterwards.
I little belly never hurt anyone.
I'm strangely hesitant to talk about the movie, maybe because Adam seems to be keeping it under wraps. That's pragmatic of him. It's always embarrassing when an actor talks up a project that turns out to be bad, or never gets released at all. Past a certain point it's so our of their hands too. Something can feel really good on the set, and get really loused up in the editing.
Well, there's not that much to talk about anyway, so I don't see it being much harm.

But if he were talking about it, we'd be saying that it's great that he's starting to publicize the film so early. Honestly, I doubt it's pragmatism on his part. His PR is just bad.
I'm not saying that we should necessarily discuss every tiny aspect of the film, but if he was truly hellbent on keeping it out of the public eye entirely, he wouldn't have allowed someone to photograph him multiple times on set.
i don't think he's desperate to keep it a secret, but he could have easily mentioned it on one of his blogs. The tour dates must have been arranged around the shooting schedule, so i would think the movie's been in the works for a while, but no one seemed aware that he was doing this.
Are we ever really 'officially' aware of things that are going on? I have always said that lack of information is my biggest Adam complaint, actually I think it's my only Adam complaint. I will say that the MySpace account is good for the concerts so I must give credit where credit is due!
A little late but, I was talking about his belly too. And that Chess bow picture that Ashley hates :P
Hee, Sarah. In case you haven't noticed, I tend to ignore the bad pictures of Raul (there are a lot!) and pretend that only the good ones exist. To that aim, I say: what bad Chess pictures?
(Someone is so going to post it now.)
Anyway, I'm a little late weighing in on this, but I think with regards to the movie, there's probably nothing wrong with speculating about it. Isn't that what fans do, really? We can hope for the best in terms of how the project turns out, but it's still something he's been up to. I don't know.
Its so sad...... I have not been on since about part 6.... ISn't that extremely sad? I am planning on coming back now. I will join in the talkingness. :}
As far as the movie and his PR goes, I'd think that by now he'd have an official website other than the Sh-k-boom one. I wouldn't have known about any of the recent concerts if it wasn't from his myspace or A-P.com.
Chloe, I didn't know that Heather considered coming back with Adam for the last few months. I would have loved that. Their chemistry was amazing.
Wait, which bad Chess picture? A bad picture of ADAM? Never!

Exactly. I wouldn't start posting information on every Adam and Rent-related message board, but since, in one way or another, the information leaked, I don't think it's so horrible to occasionally mention it on here. We've already devoted pages of discussion to it, so the "damage" has already been done. Additionally, we're not Adam's PR - I realize you want Adam to be presented in the best light possible, but this project, whether everyone is going to like it or not, is something with which he's now involved. Again, I'm not advocating spreading the news everywhere, but this sort of thing was going to get leaked at some point.
And Emcee, I don't think she was referring to a bad picture from Chess of Adam, but rather a certain one of Raul.
I thought it was that one of Raul. Aww. Poor Raul. I mean, I don't blame him.

Hi Connie. I know you're reading, so please don't pretend that you're not. Since you'll certainly censor my comment on your website (although, now that I mentioned it, you probably won't), I'd just like to say that it's incredibly rude to constantly complain that you're not receiving credit for certain things, but meanwhile post information that I found on your website. And no, don't tell me that you found the San Francisco video interview through Google or your little topix.net search, because the only way I found it was through careful examination of a photo from Flickr. Also, you might want to get the information right - Adam didn't say that the new album was necessarily going to be released next year, just that he was recording it next summer.
And the "talk of an independent film"? Wow, I wonder who started that!
You're a mooch, and frankly, I'm tired of it. If you hadn't gone on benders in the past about how people weren't giving you proper credit for things, then I probably wouldn't even care, but it's honestly amusing how you don't realize your own hypocrisy. God knows you're not resourceful enough to get information on your own for your own website, so you lurk here for the updates.
Don't bother PMing me, because I'm not going to read it.

I shouldn't get involved, but frankly, I don't at all think Lexi is being too harsh. Your antics have alienated you, Connie, so now rather than asking to take things people find or post, you're just going to do it WITHOUT asking now? That's even more rude than insisting for credit and shilling your website everywhere. Your obsession with credit going one way is absurd -- you require people to give it to you, but burned once, you punish everyone else by failing to extend the same common courtest you've aliented yourself by demanding. Wow. What's even more baffling is that you thought no one would catch on? You don't realize how hypocritical it is to trash the people here when we've pointed out something you've been doing that makes us kind of uncomfortable, but then to turn around and continue to use us as a resource after sending several of us hateful, nonsensical PMs and so forth. It doesn't work that way. You've decided you hate us all, but you still lurk around to see how you can use us, right? You can't come in here and treat us the way you have on the grounds of not being able to stand up to some (very valid) criticism and expect people not to find out -- and further be bothered by the fact that -- you have the nerve to mooch off of people you can't even treat with civility. That's complete and total crap.

Don't you get it, Emcee? As long as she can use us for information, the fact that she hates us doesn't matter! We're not even people, just information sources! It's all about the website, don't you know? Who cares about common courtesy? Who cares about hypocrisy? IT BENEFITS THE WEBSITE!
Wait, maybe we're robots.
