I feel like this is a movie Adam Sandler should be in, or something! That's not an insult, it just seems up his alley.

Better start praying, Emcee. In one of those pics, the guy looked a lot like Adam. Wow. But hey, he was supposed to be in a failed boy band, so he's just in character... Right? Please?

Huh. Maybe Goyband will end up being just a cleverly (or not so) disguised porn movie. Doubtless I'd still end up seeing it.

Now I'm REALLY hoping the pictures aren't of Adam...but your right, it does look like *Nsync in a few..but there's one of them, if you look at the dude's face I swore it was Adam. Hoping I'm incorrect on this one, but it does look like him a bit...

Oh, I don't care if those pics are of Adam (I can't tell), but I would just laugh TOO hard if this movie was based on a true story.

I'm pretty sure it's *NSYNC in the pictures (they were up even before the first day of filming), and I don't think there's any reason to believe that it's even possibly based on a real story. The website is definitely just PR for the movie. The "book Bobby Starr" email address is the Goyband gmail one.

Notice how "Bobby Starr" isn't clearly visible in any of the pictures? Other than the obviously 'N Sync ones, they probably just got a bunch of blurry concert pictures to put on the site, since they probably put it together before Adam was officially cast.

Hey Mandi - I was just telling a friend about the movie, and he said, "doesn't Bobby Starr sound an awful lot like a porn name?" At least the site isn't spelling it "Bobbie" with a little heart above the i.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about Saturday from whoever makes it there. Emcee, it certainly sounds to me like they intend to film a concert, in which case you'd be part of a large crowd, and the odds of your being recognizable are low. Stay away from the first few rows and the aisles, and you should be very safe. I doubt if this production runs to camera set-ups that swoop out over the audience.

Bobby Starr is supposed to be a former boy band member, so he's going to have a cheesy boy band name. They could have been a little more creative with it, no doubt.

I've been under the weather the last few days, in bed with a fever most of the weekend. I'm also looking at a massive work schedule, just in time for the holidays as so often happens, so you may not be seeing me around much for a while.

Thanks, the last few days have been grim. I would recite everything that's happened to me, but it kind of defies belief. Suffice it to say my next challenge is dealing with a flat tire.

Bobby Starr has got to be a stage name. I wonder if his real name is revealed eventually.
