Tanky!
I mostly just like finding the flaws in the tabloid logic. And looking at the doctored photos. They all have this ad for weight loss with eight pictures of a blonde girl in a pink bikini, none of the pictures are the same girl though. I also remember one where Kelly Ripa was supposedly losing too much weight, in her before picture she was pregnant and therefore her chest was bigger, the next picture she had lost the baby weight. They make me laugh.
UGH, I HATE the LJ format. I don't understand it. *bangs head against wall* Whatever.
I couldn't even be bothered with it. Mine has nothing posted, I really don't care.

Heh, I know what you mean. I remember one of the tabloids running stories about Demi Moore's pregnancy almost every week last summer. Only problem was, Demi wasn't actually pregnant. Eventually, they ran one story about her having a miscarriage and then acted like the whole run of stories never happened.

LJ format is the worst. Followed closely by the dilemna of having nothing interesting to post. Unlike tacos, I don't even have a cow.

I don't necessarily agree with spreading gossip, but on the other hand, it really does come with the territory of fame. While it might not be morally correct, these people put themselves in the public eye and know what comes along with it. Personally, I try to never publicly repost something that hasn't already been widely discussed or something that I have no reason to believe might be true.
I'll admit to loving some gossip, but most of it is just repetitive. I'm so sick of seeing Angelina Jolie's face everywhere.
I swear we've discussed this before. Heh.
I never really had the desire to buy the Rent "Bible" before (it looked like a pretty thing to have, but I didn't freak out over it) today, but I saw it at Barnes and Noble this afternoon and bought it on impulse. I didn't even look at the price until I got to the register. I know it's probably blasphemy to say this, but I regret spending $40 on it. I feel like I've seen all the photos before and already knew all the information in it.

What?

Sadly, I thrive off gossip. Not even about celebrities, but people I know. If I don't like them, I need as much dirt on them as possible. I swear it's a disease. I also contribute, I need to learn to keep my mouth shut.
SD, I would say that the Rent Bible is worth the money. Even if you claim to know everything in it, I'm sure you'll find something you didn't know. Let us know what you think once you've glanced, or read through it.

That was me last year. My ex-bf and I were from the same social circle and we'd talk **** about everyone in the group. After we broke up, it was a huge mess with both us trying to backstab each other as much as possible. I'm pretty boring in real life when it comes to gossiping.

Heh. That was a bit out of context, wasn't it?
Tacos are great said earlier that he hates LJ because nothing interesting happened to him, "except when the cow pooped on my cat". Or something. I'm memory-quoting, which is dangerous.
Yeah, after being almost 2 years without my Rent book, I read through the whole thing in 1 night- libretto included. I love all the stuff about Jonathan before he dies even more. Unfortunately, you don't see that part as often online as you do the pictures.
One of my roommates last year was a huge asshole, so we were all going around behind his back. He's still friends with one of my friends, so sadly my hunger for gossip is still being fed.
D_I who is Tacos are Great?

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like an arrogant fan. I wasn't trying to claim that I know every bit of information in the book -- of course I don't! I was paging through it earlier and simply didn't feel as if the interviews were worth the money, either because I already heard the general gist of a lot of them or they just didn't interest me too much.
Ugh, I have a tendency to come off poorly on the internet.

He posts on the Anthony board. See, I got my boards mixed up and thought he had posted here. It's not my fault the boards seem to be recycling topics.
Soooo, who here loves Adam?

I can definitely see where you're coming from with that, even if I don't necessarily agree. I do firmly believe that although celebrities do put themselves in the public eye, they are first and foremost human beings who deserve to keep their personal lives private every bit as much as any other person. On the other hand, I have no sympathy whatsoever for the "Young Hollywood" types who make sure their publicists know when they'll be at [insert trendy place here] so that the paparazzi will be waiting for them and then complain about the media being intrusive.

WORD, and yeah, I'm pretty sure we have.
No, you didn't come off an arrogant fan. But, seeing as how there are little tidbits from almost every one involved in the production back from the first workshop through to B'way, including Jonathan's family, producers, set designers, costume designers, and the actors, etc., I'm sure you'll find some interesting things. I tend to pick mine up every few months and just read through. I definitely think of it as more of a scrapbook type thing than a book.
*laughs*

Not really. Both threads have their very own distinct personas.
That's one of the things about posting on all the threads, you've got to be aware of what's going on around you and not throwing in meaningless posts here and there. The post count has gotten smaller making the threads close faster. Not that all of our posts have been on topic, because they haven't we had several pages about the love between a pot and a kettle. IMO, people need to keep up with whats going on and not post on things that happened two pages ago (unless it's one of those catching up posts), but if you were here and thought of something to say an hour later, too bad it passed. I don't mean to offend everyone but I'm tired of the posts that make no sense.

Heh, I'm always afraid that someone I'll be telling one of my horror stories about my freshman roommate to might know her and it will get back to her. I don't know why I'm so afraid of her.
I ordered the Rent book on Amazon a couple of days ago (it was $25, just enough to qualify for free shipping). Even though I have a feeling that I've probably already seen a good deal of the content online, it'll be nice to have. I like having books that I can randomly flip through and find something interesting in.

Not to be rude, but I often like to comment on what may have been said a few pages ago if I find it interesting. Although I'm online a considerable amount of time, I can't help the fact that I'm not on here as much as I'd like to be. I'm going to miss some interesting discussions at the time they actually took place and sometimes like to throw in my two cents or ask a question regarding a topic that may be a few pages old.
