I've been really hesitant to comment on this considering the number of people in this thread that enjoyed it, but I can't say I was a fan of Brokeback Mountain. I don't really want to start some sort of a discourse on here tonight, especially considering I'm extremely tired, but I just didn't feel a real connection to the film that so many others seem to have. I guess it's not really something that people can argue about anyway, as so much of an emotional reaction to a film is dependent upon the individual. I will say that the acting in and of itself was very good.
Ashley (do you prefer SS?), I think I've briefly mentioned this to you before, but I didn't really like Ragtime too much. I remember it being a very powerful show, but I didn't think it had many, if any, memorable songs. That said, I was relatively young when I saw it and perhaps I'd feel differently about it now if I were to give the cast recording another try.
CS, those are great photos. His jeans look juuuust right in the first one!
I love those Chess pics sooooo much. Almost as much as I love pineapples.

Ummm, lotto wasn't that bad. I was with 5 people, Em included, who were putting their names in for me and BG, and 3 out of the 5 won.
I will say that there were 2 people sitting behind us who talked through the show. It was quite annoying, and I definitely turned my head around on more than one occasion. They either were amused by it, or were too stupid to notice.

You should have glared at them and told them to be quiet.
I can't wait till I get to see Rent in a month!
New Roger = Tim Howar. Google him.
Me too Katt!! when are you seeing it?
that must have been very annoying...i remember in Beauty and the Beast, there was this huge lady sitting behind us with a LARGE bag of salty, greesy potato chips and was chopping them down the whole time...gahh
Oh yes, the people behind us were special, weren't they?
Anyway, Will Chase = amazing, and Fantabulous and Billboard Girl = in need of stagedoor assertiveness lessons. *attempts to put more thoughts together*
thanks em, i forgot the name

I think I'm seeing it the 27th of February. Well, sometime between the 24th and the 28th.
That sucks about the chips. Gross.
::Googles Tim Howar::
i'm seeing it on the 20th and hopefully going to Anthony's signing the next day
Great pictures!
Why would someone bring food to a show? It's not even during a meal time! If they wanted to eat while watching something, then go to the movies. Or the circus.

I vaguely remember a discussion about Tim and how he looks like a cowboy.
And I really wish that I was going to Anthony's signing. I know I've said that before. ::Sigh:: Oh well, you can't get everything you want.
it was very gross...and potato chips? yuck

Tim's cute. Sorry for the lame question, but does he sing country? It would be weird to have a country-ish Roger.
yea me too...this one is funny *giggles*
Is that a tamborine?!
Giddy up cowboy!
i just realized that he has a tamberine (sp?) in that pic..i used to love them

Heh, he seems to like Rod Stewart. There are a lot of clips of him singing Rod Stewart songs.
Nevermind, it was from the Rod Stewart Musical. I didn't see that, lol.

CONGRATS on the lottery, Fantabulous!
Lexi, you can call me whatever, but Ashley is totally fine.
I saw Ragtime when I was 12, and I was absolutely blown away by it. I mean, I know that you can look at it as that I was only 12 and it was the first professional production I'd ever seen, but it's really one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had. I had read the book going in and so I was familiar with the story (which I think is brilliant). I know it's probably just not a show that speaks to everyone, but I can't imagine thinking that it had no really memorable numbers, especially since it's a show that's built on really powerful anthems. The title number, or "Wheels of a Dream," not memorable? Coalhouse's "Make Them Hear You"? I'm sure it depends a lot on your perspective, but it's probably my favorite score. To be objective, though, a lot of the numbers have a similar feel and sometimes you (not me, but others) feel anthemed-out by the end. You might want to try the cast recording again, although I know it's just not some people's cup of tea.
i hope he doesn't have a country accent
haha..glory and light my candle in country
