I wish I could get my stuff on DVD, but I've given up on it.

I'm confused, but it's all cool. Heh. And Em, you know I'd help you with the DVDs if I could! I'm so Mac clueless.
I think boots look fine when you burn them onto DVD's. I copied an actual movie though, and all of the menus and everything are there.
That's the problem I'm having right now.
*patiently awaits YSI link*
SD, are you still uploading it to YSI? The sendspace thing is a pain.
skittles, I had to right click the link on the page and hit "save as" to get it to download.

Yeah, I learned the fine art of DVD copying a while back. Unfortunately, you have to compress almost all movies a bit as all DVD-Rs I know of don't allow for more than 4.7 GB of space. Luckily, DVD video quality is so good that you can't even tell if it's compressed.
BG, I did that and it downloaded and saved the webpage as an HTML document.
I don't really know, I'm just going by what my roommate told me. Not having a DVD burner, it just makes it a hassle because I'd have to put it onto my roommates laptop, or my brothers. I'm so jealous, my younger brother got a laptop and I've got my big desktop.

It's true :)
Aha! I love Google. Here ya go...synopsis of Mister:
In Mister, Yale graduate Jon (Rapp) comes naively into his first year of teaching by taking an assignment in an inner-city high school, where the brutal lives of his students shock him. His solace is Alissa (Alers), the older sister of one of his students, but their burgeoning relationship is threatened by a student's death, for which Jon is blamed.
Playbill article on it
SD, do you rent them and then just keep a copy? Or just find them online? I use the public library to build my music collection. :)
I don't even know how to compress. I really want RENT and tick tick boom on DVD.
You guys sound like you're speaking a different language to me. *shrugs*
Skittles - that's what mine does too.

Are you all waiting for the countdown to reach zero? Every time I access the SendSpace link, it gives me that "too busy" message and a countdown, but then a link appears as soon as the countdown reaches zero. It's a really small link that's easy to miss. Maybe it's just my computer or something.
Regardless, yes, I'm uploading to YSI. I've been uploading it for nearly an hour now. I don't have a great internet connection, so it might take a while. I'll post it when it's done.
Yeah, sadly SD after it counts down and I click on the link it just counts down again. I'm thinking it's a busy afternoon on the Internet.
Thanks, SD!
So, our next mission is getting a BWWer into the 10th Anniversary show.
I think I've got the DVD crisis under control, SD. I may just have to buy a few more, but they're like three bucks. No big deal.
I'm probably just going to end up buying it from kyle since I can't pu tit on DVD myself haha.
I'm sitting here thinking about the idea of rent and ttB on DVD ... but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I don't even play it on my full computer screen cause the resolution isn't that great ... I think it'd be pretty bad on my TV cuase my TV is a lot bigger than my laptop screen!
Fantab, I'm a little lost too. I don't even know if any of my posts make sense. You're talking to a person who purposefully disconnected her Local Area Connection and then wondered why her internet wasn't working.
I got the video of Raul in Cabaret onto DVD, and it looks nice all big.

I don't know why the "save target as..." is giving you all HTML pages. I honestly don't have a solution for that as it worked perfectly on my computer. Again, I am uploading it to YSI (slowly but surely), so please just hang tight for a little while. I won't forget about it.
JLSatUD, I download movies on occasion, but yes, I often just rent them and keep a copy if I like them. It's great quality.
