I'm still mad at myself for saying no when my mom wanted to see Aida. That was probably one of my dumber "teenager rebelling against parents" actions.
Shiksa Goddess 2, you make a great point. A big part of why I saw Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, for example, was that I bought the Aida cast recording because Adam was on it and wound up falling in love with Sherie's voice.
The AIDA book is one of my most beloved things. Most of the closing cast signed it.

Um, BG? That's exactly what happened with me. I thought it was a kiddie musical or something. I was weird, what can I say?
I may regret telling my dad I don't want to see LOTR, I just don't see how they'll fit it all on the stage and what they're going to sing.

Oh gosh, guys, now I have to tell you about my love of Aida. Here comes another story, lol:
I saw Aida in Cleveland when I was in 10th grade with my high school Thespian group, with Mickey Rourke as Zoser. I loved it so much that I bought the cast recording right there at the overpriced theater. Some songs I loved right away like "Written in the Stars" and "Fourtune Favors the Brave". I started liking more of the music when we sang "Every Story is a Love Story" for choir. Then my choir took a trip to NYC and we met Seth Rudesky who taught us how to sing "The Gods Love Nubia". We then met Heather Headly and sang it with her, which sparked my falling in love with the entire soundtrack.
I think it takes a couple listens, and the show is very colorful and fun. I honestly was sobbing at the end, and I don't do that normally when I'm in the nosebleed seats of a theater.
EDIT: Anthony's back!!!!

siamese, I don't think I thought it was a kiddie musical, it was just that my mom really wanted to see it and I was in one of my angry teenager "if my parents like it, there's no way it could possibly be good" phases. Which is somewhat understandable considering my mom's love for all things sappy, but still, for once she was interested in something that was actually good...*kicks self*
Or confusing!
I was going to change it really quick before I acted like a loser and posted...but I didn't.
I'm guessing he'll just have to assume it's an inside joke.
Aww, it was nice to see a post from him, though.
I know, I cracked up when I realized that he would totally see NunAdam in that thread. You know he's probably sitting there thinking "WTF?"
It's got to be a bit confusing. You can only tell it's Adam when you actually stare at it or realize that the nun has quite a masculine looking face.
I just hope he doesn't come to the thread for the explanation. Oy.

Aren't we all? JK you know I love Nun!Adam, and the pineapple for that matter. And Raul's tummy, and everyone's icons! They are all great!
He could like...click on it and see the bigger version...if he was that curious.

Haha, oh, God, I mentioned it on that thread before seeing the posts in here. Don't change it now or you'll make me look like a fool, Mandi. :P
Mandi, I must say that that is some fantastic photoshopping. I just looked at the larger version of it again.
Yeah, I was wondering if it ever came up how to explain the pineapple. Seeing as how I'd have to mention, Adam, Raul, obscene gestures, and illegal means of obtaining videos.
Everyone knows they want to be a pineapple .
If I didn't like Raul's tummy so much, I'd change to AlienAdam just to make it obvious that we are all clearly insane with too much time on our hands
Hahaha That would be great if he does see it though...it will ocnfuse him which will be very funny!

I can tell it's Adam, and I'm sure Anthony knows his face better than me, considering I've never even met him- so I bet he knows Just hope he doesn't e-mail it to Adam or anything, hehe.
Well, he's offline now.
Well, he's defintiely not to miss it now if he looks at that thread again... which just amuses me greatly. You guys are awesome.
