Jessica, that IS quite funny! I haven't had it for a long time, so perhaps it's not as good as it once was, but I remember it being so delicious. The view probably makes it taste better, too.
Chloe, I really enjoy reading about different cuisine, especially in NYC. I've somewhat limited myself by refusing to eat red meat or poultry, but I'm very excited to get to Manhattan and try various ethnic dishes. I come from a town of about 100,000 that's essentially suburbia with the nearest major metropolis three and a half hours away, so we have predominantly chains and very few unique restaurants here. It was a big deal when we got ONE sushi restaurant.
I know I've said this before, but I can't wait to get to NY and meet everyone. I'm sure we could get some great food!
As for right now... well, I'm stuck studying AP Biology. I actually find these chapters relatively interesting, but I just wish I felt a bit better. I should probably go to sleep soon, but despite my senioritis, I feel guilty studying so little for a test.
That sounds like fun, Lexi, and assuming my work schedule allows, I'd love to do that. (My work schedule goes from 0 to 80 hours a week, so it's hard to predict.)
Lexi, I'm a major food enthusiast (that bit in my Facebook profile about buying Time Out New York every week for the restaurant reviews is not an exaggeration), and I can't wait until you're in the city and I have the chance to show you all of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood
And it's not how much time you spend studying, it's how well you know the material. Trust me on this one - I've been extremely well-prepared for tests I spent 20 minutes studying for and completely bamboozled by tests I spent 3 hours studying for.
I can't wait to meet more of you. We should have an Adam Thread dinner party.

Chloe, that type of job sounds strangely appealing to me. I can't stand any sort of routine.
Jessica, I think it's amazing that Greenwich Village alone has so many great restaurants! The college campus in our town is surrounded by McDonalds, Subway, and Buffalo Wild Wings. Not my idea of great food. Keeping with the thread topic, I still can't get over how Adam listed "Cuban Chinese" as his favorite food -- I'd love to try THAT. Heh.
ETA: Bohemian, that sounds like a wonderful idea.

Yep, it's amazing how many kick-ass restaurants I can walk to from my dorm. Why anyone would get a meal plan unless they live in a dorm that requires it is beyond me.
I know of a few Asian/Latino fusion restaurants (the most obvious being Asia de Cuba, but that's more of a scene than a food place, and 20 bucks for an appetizer is just obnoxious), and when you really think about it, are fried rice and paella all that different?
Cuban Chinese is certainly a strange hybrid. There used to be a Cuban Chinese restaurant on 8th Avenue also. I believe it's the result of there being a Chinese population in Cuba. They adapted their cuisine and the result was fried plantains with chow mein, or something like that. (Unfortunately, it was a long time ago and I don't remember very clearly.) Some of them moved to Miami and NY during the revolution and started restaurants here.
Cuban Chinese just doesn't sound possible to me.

Aw, Jessica, we're going to have such an amazing time. Your avatar makes me crack up, by the way.
Thanks for the information, Chloe. You seem so knowledgeable about everything -- it's ever so slightly intimidating. In a good way, of course.
I'm going to attempt to sleep. It's been a long day. I hope everyone has a good night!
'night Lexi.
Yes, Chloe, is there anything that you don't know? You have a well thought out answer for everything.
Good night - I'm going to bed too.
And I'm far from knowing everything. If I don't know I just don't say anything! But I do tend to have one of those memories full of trivial information like this.
Lexi, I can't wait either . And the avatar is a sort of tongue-in-cheek tribute to a certain unofficial holiday that takes place tomorrow
Good night!
Lexi, your town is about five times larger than mine. I agree, though... I love getting to go to cities and try different ethnic cuisines. I've found that I really like Indian, Thai and Ethiopian. Asian/Latino fusion sounds very cool, actually.
I love Thai food, especially Pad Thai. Around campus, there are so many good inexpensive Thai places, and it's become one of my favorite meals.
I'm bored. Where is everyone tonight?
I still can't get over how Adam listed "Cuban Chinese" as his favorite food -- I'd love to try THAT. Heh.
*dies laughing, refuses to make an obvious joke*
"HE HELD ME FOR THREE MINUTES."
HAHA! Oh, skittles!
Awesome.

hmm, what am I missing, Em? I don't get the quote...
Hee.
So all my live audios are coming up as just track numbers.
Raul's Cuban. He said that about Adam, after Adam and some other Rent cast members saw Tick, Tick... BOOM! He was saying that Adam held him for three minutes and cried.
So in reality, it wasn't meant to be funny. I'm just being weird.

Hehehe, we weren't all thinking that... . Hey, I got my pictures from the Adam concert at CWRU, they aren't great in quality but still cute! Here's the link: https://s32.photobucket.com/albums/d28/GooberSpaz0/Adam%20Pascal%20Concert/

oh ok. I was confused, hadn't heard that before.
Glad to see I'm catching some of you awake! I usually work 'til 2 am (3am to you Eastern-time-zoners) and everyone's already gone to sleep on this thread!

I don't know why I'm up this late. But I'm glad to see other people are too. :)
I had never heard that about Raul and Adam...that's a great story.
