That seems to happen a few times a year, Mandi -- all of us at once.
Unfortunately, several of the things hanging over my head are not things that will go away any time soon.

Good for you Sarah! It looks like you're going to have to drag the rest of us up into the light with you.

Well, a large amount of my issues will either be resolved or heightened tomorrow when my mom's doctor calls.

I suppose one more person saying that she hopes everything will be ok isn't really going to help much, but I went through a similiar situation with my mom a few months ago. Thankfully, it didn't turn out to be anything serious. I really do hope that everything turns out alright.
I'm going to set my VCR now because I WILL forget about tomorrow's appearance if I don't do it sometime soon.

I'm sorry you have to go through this, Bohemian.

Thanks. My gut feeling is that everything is okay, but I'm not sure if it's just wishful thinking. I'll let you guys know when I find out.

Aw. Definitely let us know. Maybe you can try to do something that will take your mind off it?
I was looking through my tape to see where it was at, and apparently it was in the middle of the Cold Case episode. It still makes me smile, despite the script.

Here's what would really cheer me up: a piece of the chocolate cake with hazelnut ice cream I had at a restaurant in Manhattan after seeing Threepenny recently. It was like a brownie but light as a feather.
Another cheering thing: finding out that Adam would be in another show (of any kind) sometime soon.

Chloe, that sounds soooo good.

It really does. Both of your options, really.
Personally, I love the devil's food cake from the Rainbow Room (at the top of the NBC Tower) in NYC. So good!

Lexi, my parents are actually having dinner at the Rainbow Room tomorrow night. I will so crack up if either one of them gets that for dessert.
Hmm, I'm trying to figure out which of my favorite restaurants has the best chocolate dessert. This could take a while :-P

The restaurant I mentioned is called Sosa Borella. It's on 50th and 8th, and Argentinian. I highly recommend it. It's pricy but not outrageous - $30 to $40 for appetizer and entree maybe? Lunch is quite a bit cheaper. It's quiet too, which is rare.
That chocolate cake - wow - it was slightly warmed and had a slight crust. The inside was on the edge of being mousse. ::sigh::

I'M DONE! *dances everywhere*
Nothing is more joyous than finishing a massive project! I was going to bake, but I think at this point sleep is far more important...
I'm sad my Julia cd hasn't come in yet (random)...I was expecting it yesterday or today...now that I have free time, I wanna listen

I probably can't eat it anyway, but what's Argentinian food like?

Chloe, that doesn't sound all that different from the warm/molten/volcano chocolate cakes at a lot of my favorite restaurants. Warm cake, gooey chocolate goodness on the inside, I'm happy.

Amber, congratulations! I'm glad someone around here has some good stuff happening.
I 'm not sure if it's the same or not - it looked very much like a brownie, only about half an inch high, but was very light on the inside.
ETA: Emcee, this restaurant has a lot of fairly standard NYC fare with Argentine accents I think. Another favorite of mind is a roasted beet salad with goat cheese and roasted endive, The dressing is very light but tasty, and the beets are extraordinary

That cake thing sounds amazing. *drool*
I just ate really, really yummy cherry tomatoes.
I hope everyone feels better/is okay! Just think! It's almost summer.
