That... is odd.

My roommate wants to watch Rent *jaw drops*
*runs to the living room to start it before she changes her mind...again*

Boo, my post was lost in limbo.
I'm still slightly freaked out by the fact that someone gave a photo of herself dressed as Jasmine to him.
I just want to know what the rationale behind that is.
That's bizarre.

And what was this supposed to do...other than freak him out?
So did I read it right - was Marie someone Adam recognized from seeing her play Jasmine at Disney World, or did he recognize the character from her picture?
It's nice to see so much enthusiasm for the concerts.

He recognized the character from the photo.
Like, what does she expect him to do with the photo? Hang it up on his fridge?
It's one thing to give someone a photo of you and the person, but when it's just you...
It sounds to me she was giving it to him as an actress rather than as herself, but it's still a little strange.
So absolutely adorably amazingly adorable and awesome.
Think she liked him?

So I shouldn't have given Adam that picture of me in a french maid's outfit? Woops
Okay, now that I've killed our brand new thread, I'm going to check on my oatmeal jam square...things (they smell really good!) and start Rent...(hopefully without any moral judgements from the other person watching the movie...)

He'd probably appreciate that one, Amber.
Enjoy your oatmeal squares and the movie - hope your roommate doesn't get negative on you.

Heh, as I was telling some of the others, if you're going to give him photos as "gifts," at least make them naughty.
*pets part nine*
That means...next is part ten. Ten!
I'm glad your food smells good Amber!
Thank god April Fool's Day is over. I don't find it amusing at all.
Which means that it's now Sunday! Less than 24 hours until Cold Case.
SOOOOOON.
*Going back a couple of pages* While Nun Adam singing "Maria" from SoM is hysterical, I don't think that applies to all of the show. I would love to hear his rendition of "Edelweiss"--perhaps my favorite song of the show. Actually, the more I imagine it, the more I really want to hear it.
And aww, Mr. Heckes.

That evening I met Adam Pascal. His concert was mostly his original music with some cover tunes, a little broadway, and of course, one song glory. He made me laugh, and his pianist was reaaalllyy cool. Afterwards we had a little Q&A. I asked if he had any shows he wanted to be in. He said nope, he wanted all new material. Some how in this conversation he heard "gay roles" instead of "great roles". that was interesting.

So, no Broadway in the future unless it involves new shows?
I agree he could sing Edelweiss really well, but I wonder if he'd want to. I still want to hear him sing some genuine old time gutbucket blues. His voice was just made for them. He doesn't seem to be drawn to that kind of music though.
Adaaaaaaam, come home!!
You can't stop, can you, Lexi?
You can never take what Adam says about this type of thing too seriously, since he's always changing his mind. I'm seeing Threepenny Opera next weekend, and will be really curious to see if it seems like there's any possibility of Adam taking over for Alan Cumming at some point. It seems like one of the few shows he might be interested in.
Right Chloe, I agree. [about Edelweiss] That's why I was a little surprised when I first heard that he was doing his own rendition of Maria these days. Guess we should take it one classic showtune at a time I'm still thrilled beyond belief about that one though.
Who woulda thunk that one of Robin Hood's Merry Men wouldn't want to sing a sweet song about flowers?
3Penny is limited, though, right?

You don't really mind, right, Chloe? All I'm doing is searching with LJSeek every hour. I'm bored!
I don't know the first thing about Threepenny Opera!
I don't know much about it either, but yes it's limited. But if reviews are good and sales go well, they could extend it. I've tried to lay off reading reviews/hearing much about a show before I see it, but there are a couple of people I've talked to here and there who didn't like it. Then again, it's early in previews, and is selling healthy at this point--there's not that many tickets available through May.
