He looks great. :)
He did look great. He came out and I was just like "Wow!" I keep forgetting that pictures don't do him justice, because he looks AMAZING in person.
Picture 7
Out of order, but whatever. This is the non-flash one and it's the only one where Adam isn't a total blur.
Picture 8
It was thrilling to see him so close at the meet and greet, even if it was so brief. He's stunning in person.

He looks great! Thanks for sharing, skittles. Glad you got to talk to him.
ooh and here's hoping if I hang around the parking lot I'll get to meet him too! **crosses fingers**
He does look great. And what a nice outfit
Great pictures, skittles. Adam looks amazing.

He DID look amazing. Sorry I couldn't find you in the madness, skittles.
I managed to audio record most of the show, so now I just have to figure out how to get it on my comp (Me=technologically retarded.)
You're so lucky you got to meet him, sigh. I wanted to hang around but my friends were tired and I was lucky they agreed to come with me in the first place.
Yes, even pictures he looks great in, I do agree that they don't do him justice. He looks so amazing in person.
Hey guys!
The concert last night was absolutely amazing...and Adam looked GREAT.
I made the mistake of leaving right afterword since it was announced that he had to leave right away...so I missed seeing him outside...common sense should have told me to stay around! But the concert was definitely wonderful.
In less than four hours, I will be finished.

JLC, don't feel bad. I missed him too.
Oh well, next time...
Wasn't the show fantabulous?
Yeah I don't feel bad...I'm just glad I got to go to the show...and like you said, next time.
The show was amazing...I really liked his rendition of "What I Did For Love."
*pops into thread* DROOL. ADAM LOVE <3!

Oh God, "What I Did For Love" and "Maybe This Time" were too of the gorgeous highlights for me. Or maybe that's just because I'm a huge showtunes geek. But of course, as a huge fan of both his albums it was thrilling to get to hear those live as well.
Heya, MMM. :)
I loved What I Did For Love.
Yay Sarah!

I still wish he didn't have to essentially be paid to stick around for meet and greets, but such is business, I guess. I'm happy all of you liked his concert. During this whole tour, I've only heard from a couple people who were disappointed, so it's great that Adam's apparently putting on good shows. Granted, the people attending Adam's concerts and posting about it online are probably fans of his to begin with, but it's still wonderful to hear.
Thanks again for the photos, skittles.

SD, I like your avatar.
I wish he didn't have to get paid to stick around either. But I see nothing to complain about...it was an awesome show.
The only complaint I do have is that the people sitting behind Skittles and I kept talking about making him a sandwhich...and shaving their legs.

Thanks! Gotta love Molly.
No, I agree -- I wasn't trying to whine and complain. It just seems a bit odd. If he's signing for people who meet him at the door, why not just stay inside and sign? Hell, I can't make it to any of the shows anyway, so what do I care?
Those people sound like Anthony fans. Just because Adam worked with Anthony doesn't mean he wants your gross finger sandwiches!
I didn't mean to imply that you were complaining...but I know someone wrote a review on the main board saying that they weren't really impressed. I don't really see how you could not be impressed.
But yeah, it seems like it would be just as easy to stay inside and sign autographs...then people like me wouldn't just leave.
LOL, they did sound like Anthony fans...and then Skittles pointed out that someone had brought Anthony's book and were passing it around...
I'll keep the random details about my day to a minimum, but I do have to mention one thing:
I got pulled over by university police for speeding. Yeah. I was lost and trying to find a place to park and they pull me over for going 34 in a 25 zone. I almost laughed when he said that. I thought I had done something *serious*, I mean, I've never been pulled over before in my life! They ran a check on my license and found nothing, obviously, so they let me go with a warning. It was just so random. I mean, I get pulled over by rent-a-cops for going 9 miles over the speed limit when I was going 80mph down 81 on the way there. I would have been so embarassed if I had gotten my first speeding ticket for going 34 mph!
Anyway, I called jlc because I couldn't find the venue and I met up with her and her boyfriend and we went into the building. There were these giant signs by the doors that said "No flash photography, you will be ejected!"
Adam came out at 7:34 and everyone went batsh*t crazy screaming. He went over to the mic and sang in this really high voice "The hills are alive with the sound of music."
I DIED. I mean, NUNADAM! Everyone else kind of laughed, but I was too in shock to really respond. It was just, shocking as hell and my first thoughts were "OMG, the Adam thread is going to *die*!"
Then Adam said "Not what you were expecting, right?" which, only freaked me out even more because technically, we were expecting that at one point. It was just sooo random and weird. And when I told some people here about it last night, the unanimous first response was "OMG HE KNOWS!"
We were sitting 2 rows behind this...faction of the drama department, so they were a little loud. When Adam was telling his Aida tech-week story, they were all loudly agreeing with his statements about how annoying it was. One girl said something like "raise your hand if you're a musical theater major!" and like, the entire row raised both hands and screamed. It was...interesting.
Same set as before. He sang 2 of my 3 favorite songs from Civilian. I really liked the version of Maria, it was so like, laid back jazz club. It worked, especially for him. Everyone screamed like banshees when he came out and started Glory. Personally, I was in a daze during What I Did For Love. ACL is my absolute favorite show (yes, shocking I know, it's NOT Rent!) so Adam singing it right in front of me was just beyond amazing.
They had announced at the beginning that Adam had to leave directly from the show, so he wouldn't be able to sign autographs. After I left, however, I was walking across this big parking lot to get over to where I parked the car. I noticed a bunch of people kind of lurking around this one area, holding like, Rent stuff, so I figured I'd hang out. They were all in a group, so I called Em and talked to her. The girl from SUNY Cortland that was running the show came out the door and shooed people away, so I kind of hung back. Then Adam and his bald security/roadie/whatever guy came out holding cigarettes. Which was hot. There was a group of kids hanging at the opposite end of the building and one of the guys called "I was the person that yelled 'Marry Me!'" Adam told him "That's not legal in this state!"
These two girls (women?) went over to him, so I figured it was safe, so I went over as well. They were telling him how they would have come earlier, but they had to come from Syracuse. Being the complete and utter geek that I am, I raised my hand and exclaimed "I came from Syracuse!", grinng like a total fool. Adam was like "Wooo Syracuse!" and started to sign the thing for the girl. A bunch of other people came over, like, 25ish and were taking pictures and stuff. I kind of hung back at first because I figured that I'd let them have their chance, since I'd already met him once before. One person's camera wasn't working, so they held the pose for like a minute and finally Adam said- without losing his smile/expression- "Come on, darling, let's get it together!" The girl gave up on the picture and some other people took some. Then the security/techie/bald man said something like "Okay, we'll get a few more!" and Adam repeated "Two more!" I had been standing literally right next to him the whole time, but he kept autographing stuff from the people on his right. So I didn't really step forward or anything, I just kind of held out my Rent OBC windowcard and said "Can you sign this for me?" He signed it and I said thank you and stepped back. Then he signed one more thing and went back inside.
Sorry it's so long. I have the memory of a really nerdy elephant (best line ever) so I hope all you people that hate long posts will forgive me this time.

It's fine, jlc. :) I don't know if I've even seen that review yet.
ETA: Yay, skittles posted! I'm going to read all of that now.

I've got to run back to school, but thanks for the review, skittles. It's always so great to read in-depth reviews.
I thought you met him on his way out of the campus! Hah, you got him to sign your windowcard on his cigarette break? Haha!
I'm sorry to hear about your brush with the law. Also, I think I mentioned this last night enough to some of you girls, but I am SO paranoid about this thread now. I'm also a bit embarassed, but Adam singing The Sound of Music is hilarious nonetheless.
Good review, Skittles...that definitely sums it up. I was laughing so much when he did the Sound of Music thing!
