I got into all the other schools I applied to, except for Columbia. I'm leaning towards Chicago, yes, unless I hate it when I go there tomorrow and Tuesday.

I can't believe I missed the opera talk!
La Boheme and Madame Butterfly are two great starters. Baz Luhrmann's production of Boheme was AMAZING. I think it was that production that converted me into an opera fan.
Although--it was glaringly obvious that I was a Rent fan when I went to see it, because of how I reacted to a certain ending....I think my parents were embarrassed.
My fish incidentally are named Marcello and Rodolfo. They are still alive. As for the dead fish, I told my roommate and she said "I know". And made no move to dispose of it.
I flushed him.

It's so sad, and I can't believe she didn't even care. She definitely killed it through negligence.
This is just one of many reasons why I hate her.

My iriver is malfunctioning, which is sad b/c it has some "recorded" stuff on it that I REALLY, REALLY want if you catch my drift.

I don't know about iRivers, but with iPods, sometimes if they act up, if you let them de-charge completely the charge them fresh, they'll be ok.

Elphie- It's so cool that you're leaning towards U of Chicago. I'm only about an hour away from the chicago area.

I slept for almost 12 hours. I only got up because sleeping through the entire day is really pathetic, but I'm still really out it.

It turned out! I took a picture, but...it pretty much doesn't look like anything interesting, and you can't even see the iced glaze I put on top. It's rather good...This one's actually for my sister, but I need to make one for myself here in a little bit...

Yum, cake! You guys talking about opera reminded me of an Emmy Rossum interview I read yesterday. Her dream opera role is Musetta. Musetta, from Carmen. Uhhhhh...
Anyway! I just got back from my friend's piano recital. She was very surprised to see me (I hadn't seen her since LAST February).
After she played, she and her roommate left, but I stuck around for the rest of it, because it reminded of band in high school. There were quite a few songs played that I definitely remember doing in jazz combo in school!! FUN!
