Hey all you New Yorkers (and New Yorkers-to-be), there's still this:
Oct 13 Adam Pascal Bay Shore, NY
which I'm praying isn't some sort of computer glitch but still a real gig for him. It's a ways from the city, but I'm part of the way there, and maybe I could help get whoever wants to go there somehow.
I would think he'd play one more show in the NYC area before he goes....

Where exactly is Bay Shore?

I think my post is stuck in limbo, although Em expressed a similiar question.
Thanks so much for the offer, Chloe. I obviously don't know what October holds, but that sounds like a plan.
I really hope that a lot of us can attend that concert.

Texas is sort of on the way to California...maybe? yes?
One day we'll get a concert...I'm hopeful
Bay Shore is quite a ways east on the south shore of Long Island. By train from Manhattan, it's only about an hour and a quarter, not bad at all.
ETA: I was thinking that unless the venue was within walking distance of the train station, I could drive there and get you from the train station to the venue.

Thanks, Chloe. That's not too bad at all. :)
Hm...Driving...that's 2 1/2 hours for me, I think.
Thanks for that offer, Chloe.
Oooo, I just realized I could take the Port Jefferson Ferry. Nice. I think that's shorter...

I imagine a lot of us are going to try to make this, especially if it ends up being his "Farewell, NY" performance.
Thanks Chloe for giving us something to possibly look forward to!

Re-reading that interview:
"What I am doing right now, quite frankly, is the most challenging thing I have done. You are the most exposed in a situation like this," Pascal said. "When you perform in a film or a theater project, you have the luxury of hiding behind someone else's material."
He explained that if the material is awful, he does the best job that he can possibly do and takes comfort in the fact that he didn't write it.
Ok, who immediately thought of Like Father, Like Son after reading this? ::raises hand::
Oh, I don't mind that song so much. I suppose he could have been thinking of the Cold Case script though! Not that I'm really putting down the show, because it gives me so much pleasure.
It IS a cheesy script. Apparently the show is normally better than that. If it weren't, I doubt it would still be on!

I was just trying to think of truly awful things (subjective, I know!) he's had to sing/do and it popped into my mind. The cliff scene was pretty bad, although for whatever reason, I can see him enjoying the filming process of that.
From what I've seen, Em, the show usually is written better than that.

It IS usually better written, but it's still a lot campier than most of the other crime shows.
But in a way, that's why I like it.
The Cliff reminds Adam of Bon Jovi, which I imagine means he liked it.

He just liked the cliff scene cause the wind blew through his hair...and we all know how much he likes his hair...
at Adam moving to LA. I'm trying to think positive here - he could always decide he hates it out there, return to NY, and write a bunch of kick-ass songs about the experience, right? :-P
Awww...Nun!Adam!

I can't see Nun Adam without getting paranoid.
Adam, if you're reading this thread... DON'T MOVE. Please.
Love, Lexi, your silly fan who might have sparked your rendition of The Sound of Music.

BG, I thought the same thing. He can't stay there.
Something could still happen to keep him here...
I must say I'm also really disappointed about NFL Dad. Not that it sounded like a great project, necessarily, but I've already spent quite a bit of mental energy imagining how it *could* have turned out well.
