Good luck! The hardest part of college socially (for me) was orientation, I am not good with just talking to random people, and yet I met someone who is a good friend now who introduced me to another very good friend who is just as in love with theatre as I am so it was all worth it.

Hee, Lexi. I didn't expect that.
I recognize the addiction to being alive.

Aw, I like them. I like a bizarre variety of music. I may even be going to a Fallout Boy concert next month.

I've heard of them... I'm pretty sure I liked them, but I like pretty much anything that isn't rap.

Okay, confession: Fall Out Boy is totally my guilty pleasure. Their music is amazingly addictive, and sometimes it's nice to have driving music where you can sing at the top of your lungs without caring.

I...haven't heard of any songs by My Chemical Romance or Fall Out Boy...
In fact...the only reason I know the name "Fall Out Boy" was because of the One Tree Hill episode last week where they kept on going "Hey, it's Pete from Fall Out Boy".

I haven't listened to non-musicals or non-Broadway-singers in a very long time. Ever since this school year started and I discoved BWW and became a theatre major I've just been more focused on finding new shows to love.

I've never even heard of Kings of Leon or JET.
It's sad when a 35-year-old man knows more about the current music scene than I do.

hah, well, I doubt his collection is full of showtunes.

Fall Out Boy? My Chemical Romance?
Seriously?
Weirdo.

Ahaha, secretly Adam listens to Sound of Music every night
. Singing along to Maria... I love the two songs I've heard from JET. I realised I was way out of the current loop of pop culture when I picked up a Teen People and realised I only recognised like 2 people in the entire magazine, and none of the names looked familier.

But I listen to a good amount of non-showtunes stuff! Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the 90s.

Neither have I.

90's music rocks! I love oldies too, like 20's, 50's, 60's. I love the 70's and 80's though I have a hard time considering them "oldies".

I've heard of those bands, but the only song I've heard from any of them that I actually like is "Look What You've Done" by Jet.
"There was this one time an alarm went off - it was in the middle of '24.' That's just wrong. Everyone knows everyone was watching '24' at that time."

I like that one, although it reminds me of the Elton John song because the beginning cords are the same.

I know very little about pop culture.

I know what you mean. I live in my own little Broadway world and only realize that not everyone lives there when I tell someone that I met Raul Esparza and their side of the conversation goes like this: "Who? What's Company? Who's Sondheim? What's tick, tick...BOOM!? Who is Jonathan Larson? Oh Rent! That's a great movie- too much singing though."
