re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

Boo, everyone needs to stop bashing on MCR and FOB. Just because they've been "mainstreamed" and put forth as "pop" bands, doesn't mean that their music is not legitimately good.

Unless, of course, you've given them both a fair listen and just decided that you really don't like them. I can absolutely respect that. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

ok just got back from the Bloomington, IN show, here goes:

I was there really early so I got to be first in line. As I was talking to a girl beside me I thought I saw Adam walk down an alley. I had to stare for a while to be sure because by this point I had seen 3 different guys that looked like him. But it was definately Adam. I grabbed the girl and was like "IT'S HIM!" and we kinda ran over to the alley. We both debated over whether or not to go to him. He went around the back of the building and was flanked by 2 big guys and a woman. I kinda hollered out "ADAM!!" it ended up sounding very desperate but he didn't hear me, the woman did though, and just kept walking. I ended up deciding it was best not to be stalkerish and chase him down. But I'll forever remember that as my missed opportunity. I'm really bummed about that re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine But I was exactly front row, center, so that was great!

But anyhow, the show was great, of course! I knew he had a great voice, but nothing compares to hearing it live. Part of me wanted to close my eyes and just enjoy the moment. But I couldn't take my eyes off Adam! He's a great performer. It takes a special amount of talent and charisma to be so entertaining without all the hoopla of a rock concert.

Some of the funny moments: During One Song Glory the mic cord fell off. He gave this "that figures" expression and then fixed it. It only took him a few notes to figure out where he was in the song. After the song was over he held up the mic in one hand and gave it the finger. lol

Oh! During a song I was messing with my cell phone (trying to record Adam on the voice memo). I delted a memo to make room just as the song was over. So it was pretty quiet and all you hear is my cell phone make a noise. I was so embarrassed and I shut the phone real quick. Adam looks down at me (thinking it was ringing) and says "go ahead and answer it!" I was just like "no... go ahead... sorry" he said "no go ahead... I'll answer it!" I just kept shaking my head and apologizing. He said "are you sure?" I said "yeah... it wasn't a call" Man, I wish somebody really would have called me. That would have been fun to hand him my phone during the concert. lol

Most of the jokes and funny things have already been mentioned on here, so I'll just briefly mention:

--When he said that he'd be performing broadway songs it got the biggest applause. He goes "so it's mostly girls and gay guys here, right?" And he pointed at somebody and said something, it looked like 'you're gay?.... just kidding'

--everyone screamed when he took off his jacket and he said "it's just a jacket!" but then did this flirty little dance/butt shake thing.

--I believe someone said he had a 'foul mouth' at a show they went to. He did again tonight. The audience laughed everytime he cursed. Such as when introducing Larry he said something to the effect of "you're probably looking at him going 'who the f*** is that?'"

--his demonstration of Tech Week was cute, too. "stand here. now left. now here." the bored look on his face was amusing.

after the show, he only had a meet and greet with Union Board members (and other lucky people who had connections with the Union) We all went to the back door hoping he'd come out. There was a huge crowd that eventually dwindled down everytime an employee said Adam wouldn't be coming out. I was one of the last people to leave (we waited about 2 hours). He never came out. Apparently he left through a side door and got in a car quickly. It was dissapointing to say the least, but what can ya do?

I met a lot of fun people. It was great getting the chance to talk about Adam and Broadway to other people (my friends couldn't care less about either).

Well, I'm exhausted. I'll post a couple pictures real quick before going to bed.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

I think it's hilarious that he uses the exact same jokes every single night.

I'm glad you had an awesome time. Great pictures. They're the same jeans and velcro shoes again, too. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

I think it's cute that Adam uses the same jokes each time too. :)

And as for MCR, I listened to their album and hated them, and then I saw them open for Green Day. Although I don't like their music, they put on a hell of a show that night. Just my two cents. *shrugs*

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

Nice pictures. It sounds like he's getting.... for lack of a better word five minutes after waking up, sillier, every night. The cell phone thing.... hah.

He may very well not think that people have been spoiled as to what his jokes are at each show. :)

Nice pictures, and I'm cracking up at the using the same jokes - wouldn't it be so funny if he forgot the lines to one of those? re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

He'd probably be like "I forgot my joke!!" which is just not smoothe.

I think I want to use an Adam avatar for now. I haven't had one in a while.

rawr. I'm still in disbelief over LA.

The 10th anniversary Rent benefit. The lottery is already making me nervous. Just ignore me.

I don't expect to win either, but I'm still a bit nervous.

heh. I'm sure that'll be one of the days on which I'm too nervous to eat, don't worry. :)

I'm pretty sure that either way, I'm going to go down around when they show will get out and visit skittles because I want to hear everything right away, and because I'm a loser and I want to.... look at the cast? I'm hoping that I can catch Adam.

Me too, Bohemian. I'm not expecting to win either, but even when I tell myself I'm not gonna win, you can't kill that glimmer of hope/anticipation/nerves.

*raises hand* Yeah, I'll probably be waiting around too.

I don't expect to win, because I have no luck with lotteries. I played the Rent lotto a record 12 times before winning.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine

Hi! It's been a while. I have somewhat limited computer access for the next week so I'm trying to do a little catching up - on news, not threads so much - that would simply be ridiculous - there's so much to read! So quick question (and I won't ask lots of these, I promise, because I know they're annoying): Why are we in disbelief over LA?

Hey, Alix. How's your trip?

Adam ---> LA. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part nine
I mean, I'll live. It's just sad.

Strangely, the only lotto I've ever been able to win has been the Rent lotto. Not like that means a thing...
