Driving is scary! I got my license in December of 2005, when I was 20. I still don't like to drive, and it's not even that I'm bad at it or anything. It just makes me nervous.
Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to

My roommate is a nervous driver...there's a reason I usually drive when we're going somewhere

I saw those Em, they are great, much better than the ones I probably got, but I will be posting when I get them. If it makes you feel better, I've never driven on the highway, I'm afraid of getting lost.

Yeah, driving does seem scary. I think I'm going to try to get my license this summer, just to HAVE it and to know how to drive in case of an emergency but I highly doubt I'll ever be purchasing my own car. I just don't want to deal with it.

You live in the city right? Then you probably don't need to, where I live you can't get anywhere without a car.

I'll be 20 in a couple of months and I haven't been behind the wheel since I failed my road test nearly 3 years ago. I know I should try to learn again, but living in NYC gives me an easy excuse not to. My grandmother was nearly 65 when she finally learned how to drive - she never saw a need for it until Grandpa died.

I'm scared to drive in the city myself. If you can find a way to take lessons somewhere out in the distant 'burbs, you'll probably feel better about it.

I drove in the city once, but it was just straight North/South, nothing complicated at all, so it was fun. Anything harder and I would've been scared.

Yeah, I admit, living in the city my whole life has spoiled me.
Although here at school it's impossibe to get around without a car, which is probably why I'm something of a hermit here.
Anyway, it's sleepy time for me. Hoping to feel like a human being again sometime soon. *crosses fingers* G'nite all!

I have my permit but have never even sat in the drivers seat. It's a pain in the ass to learn how to drive in the city.

In the back of my mind, I have "getting my driver's license" on the List Of Things To Accomplish Before Turning 21, but I don't know if that will actually happen.

Well, I guess if you don't need it, the incentive is very small...
I've only driven on a highway a handful of times, but that's because I don't like it and I can get away without it at home.

I love driving. I especially love driving on highways. No speed limit should be under 60 as far as I'm concerned.
And back home, I live, like, on the Beltway, so while it's not necessary to use, it's much easier to.

No, it's good. But scary. Overwhelming is probably a better word. Also, I'm not one of those people who is good at just going up to people and starting conversations, so it's stressful.
