Being from outside Toronto, most of my friends don't know the first thing about Broadway. I thought I knew a lot, but obviously I didn't, and have been learning so much since joining here. I feel a lot at times that I have absolutely no one to talk out loud to about Broadway. I also find that because this is a big part of my life you all are the people that are most like me, and I've never been part of a big group like this. Ok, I'm feeling like a group hug needs to comes out of this. If no one hugs back, I will cry.

My parents like theater, but my dad doesn't really like actually seeing shows. Thankfully, my mom does. If she didn't, I wouldn't see half of the shows that I do.

I took my dad to RENT and he talked about it for weeks..he's adorable.

Okay, I'm making myself go since I've gotten nothing done in the 2...5 hours I've been here. Goodnight!

Aww Mel, that stinks that your parents don't like traveling into the city. I grew up in Queens, but my family lives within walking distance of the subway so it was never an issue for my mom and I to hop on the A train and go see a show.

Beautiful post, Sarah. I've also learned a lot from being here and I feel like part of a big happy family. I'll hug everyone once my cold is gone, because I don't want anyone to catch it.

Alright, give me the address of the theatre, they're getting a letter. How could there not be a pineapple dance, do they not realize the importance of it? I can't even wrap my brain around it.
