At the Philly signing I went to. Someone asked him to "bust out into the Tango" and he asked how he would do that by himself, and everyone yelled for him to do the arm move, and he did it, and said: "I am not a trained monkey, I will appease you but I am not a trained monkey". It was very cute, lol. There's a link on the Anthony thread to the audio of the whole signing and it's in there.

I can still see my parents wanting me to marry a token "nice Jewish boy" even if I REALLY wasn't going to have children, just... because, but it is sort of funny in that it's become a total stereotype.
Same here.
But I mean, I don't understand why it matters. It's just a religion. I'm not trying to be disrespectful or anything.
I don't think you're being disrespectful at all, Mel. And the thing is, even though my parents make a big deal about that aspect of being Jewish, it's not like my family does anything other than observe the major holidays and enjoy the delicious, fattening food.

Ugg, I can't believe this- my brother and dad are STILL talking about Brokeback when I'm not there to annoy anymore. Of course, they probably realise that I can't move too far away since I have no room here. *plugs in ear phones*

Brokeback!
I think, for Judaism especially, it's a lot about the culture. At least, for me it is, almost as much the culture as the religious aspect. I honestly can't imagine not marying someone Jewish.
