Same here, Fantab. I really need to find someone to watch the DVD with who will crack up at the commentary as much as I did. If anyone wants to do a viewing party this afternoon...
Okay I am going to threadjack for a second...
I got Girl Scout Cookies! I just went into the kitchen and they were sitting on the table. I don't know about you, but the fact that Valentine's Day and Girls Scout Cookie Delivery Day are so close makes me really really happy. My order this year? Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, and Shortbread.
Back to Adam...
What?! I definitely missed something, Em.
But yeah... not good grade. 30 points below the average not-good. I don't think I've ever gotten such a bad grade in college, and I'm not taking enough credits this semester that I can afford to drop anything. *worries*
One of Adam's many interesting contradictions is the frat boy alongside the sensitive guy who cries when Daphne leaves the show or after seeing ttB.
ETA: I'm really sorry about your grade. Do you think you can do better with this class in the future? Should we kick you out of here periodically to go study?

Okay, just to tantalize a little more...

Scroll down to October...
*hugs Ashley*
I was really impressed by some of the more intelligent points Adam made during the commentary. There's quite a brain underneath that oft-changing hair

Ashley, I'm sorry to hear that. I don't want to see my latest AP Bio test grade, but I'm sure a test in high school has nowhere near the significance one in college does.
I really DO want to hear Raul sing Anthem, though. Raul performing opposite Adam is just an extra perk.
Em, take Jessica up on the viewing party offer!
Chloe, that part in Anthony's book made me go, "Whoa, our Adam?"

Kim! OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO BE IN NY THEN. YES! Someone needs to come to the Queens show with me!
Ooooooooh, October 14 has me all kinds of intrigued. Finally, something interesting happening in my borough!
Lexi, I'll definitely go to that with you
Oct 13 Adam Pascal Bay Shore, NY
Oct 14 Adam Pascal Queens, NY
Oct 20 Adam Pascal Metuchen, NJ
Great news, though that's a long ways away. I wonder what kind of venues these are.
I wasn't surprised about that part of Anthony's book, because I'd already read someone's account of Daphne's last show. Apparently Adam spent a good part of it in tears.
I can actually go to some of these!
I really like the paragraph about Adam on Daphne's last day.
Queens and Mannahawken are good for me...my grandparents live in Queens, so we can visit them as well, and Mannahawken's about 45 minutes away from me.

A tiny part of me is upset that this probably means no Broadway for the rest of the year. I should just be happy that I'll probably finally get to go to one of his shows, and I DO like his solo stuff... but he belongs on Broadway.
Whatever. I'm still excited. Kim, where are you finding all these websites?

SD, I do a lot of research as part of my job-- I've learned that patience is key when trying to find information, particularly on the web. Sometimes it's simply a matter of asking the question in the right way. ;~)
Again, I'd caution everyone-- these dates are pretty far out in the year, and they're not coming directly from Adam or "his people" (whoever they are) so take them with a grain of salt. I wouldn't set up travel plans just yet...

Hey guys! Emcee, I am now picturing you laying flat out on the floor somewhere, craning your neck to see the TV, laughing hysterically at the commentary. Thanks for the mental image; it's quite amusing.
You guys (possibly) get your Adam concerts, and I get almost every Canadian artist I like in April at the Junos. I'm entering every contest to get tickets, since they're so darn expensive. I can WALK to the venue from here!! SO close! Michael Bublé, Bryan Adams, Barenaked Ladies, Our Lady Peace... *swoons*
I hope he gets something else going. It's a long time between April and October, and I'm sure he can't make a living doing these kind of gigs. Having a mortgage payment myself I tend to worry about these things.
To become official, you just need the actor to recognize it as official.
The problem is, usually actors pay for it - but that's an arrangement that the actor and the webdesigner make.
Sh-k-boom isn't allowing him to have another, right?
Which makes sense - people will visit the sh-k-boom site.

Heh, Kim, don't worry -- I'm moving to NYC for college this fall, so I'll be there anyway. I know a lot of these dates are less than definitive.
Michael Bublé is Canadian? I saw him a few years ago at the Hollywood Bowl when I was in LA, and so it's kind of exciting to see him getting so much attention nowadays.
I'm excited for you guys who get to see Adam! Awesome job finding that info, Kim.
And yeah, I'm really just going to have to crack down and put some serious time and effort into that class. We get to replace one test with whatever we get on the final, so at least that's a small consolation.

My pleasure. Just filling the void with possibly meaningless chatter... ;~)
At what venues is Adam going to be performing? Is there a list of the venues somewhere?
Not for those October dates, as far as I can tell.
A couple things before I take a long nap...
re: Aida...I know to pay close attention, and to make sure to mention when I get back how closely it sticks to the Bway production. My high school did it last year, and I went to all of their performances, so I know the original script quite well. However, I only saw it on Broadway once from the balcony. So I don't have that great a memory on the direction/staging. I'm assuming though since it's at Westchester anyway, it's obviously scaled down and no one would expect the same direction/choreography. You guys are more interested in the similarities to the script, not so much direction, right?
Don't worry BSo, not gonna happen. J&H was just a weird circumstance--my mom was supposed to come home Thurs. morning but she was stuck upstate, and didn't make it home till Friday morning. That just threw me off. Moreover, for some reason, I had my dates all confused and thought I was actually in a week earlier than it was. But don't fear, my mom is well aware that we're going tonight, so that's what matters. We definitely won't miss it
Hehe...Adam's vanity makes me think of symphony space. Adam: "I couldn't stop looking at myself." Anthony: "Yes, because you are such a handsome man." Haha, that was really funny.
And official sites, I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure BSo's right. The "official"ness of a website just means it's endorsed by the actor. He/she is supposed to have a say and control everything that goes up there. I don't know specifics, such as if a contract has to be signed or anything like that. I think if nothing else the actor should be paying for what is needed on the website--the url and other fees. I believe most pay their webmasters for their work, but that varies--some webmasters refuse the pay I think.
BBG, where did you already see the DVD commentary? If there's a chance it's out early, at some point this weekend, I may stop by my stupid, pointless mall to see if any store has it yet.
YAY for close to NY gigs, even though it's ages away. Lexi and Jessica, I will most definitely be joining you. Although, I'm still convinced he has to do some small gig in NYC around April or May. Not doing something here would just be really silly.
Is it Sunday yet?
