I guess you guys are right about Finale B, but I'm just having a hard time thinking of it outside the context of the show.

Well, they sang it on the Today Show, and I thought it was fine on it's own and out of context. Btw, I love how I spurred an entire 30 minute conversation about hair.
I recognize the addiction to being alive.

Finale B would work really well for a chorus arrangement. It's one of my favorite songs from Rent, so I wish it got more attention- especially over SOL. Without You would work out of the context of the show, but it's so solo/duet-ish that I can't see an entire chorus performing it together without it seeming weird.

I just think it's funny that a school band is playing Rent music, when onstage it's like 5 guys with guitars and drums. I guess I would just expect them to play a more traditional musical theater score over something as pop/rock as Rent.

I can't believe I missed the beginning of Part 6! I HATE not being able to go online till like 6 at night.

ditto that, Dancing Queen. Although I was a little surprised it didn't happen til this afternoon rather than last night. If it was a weekend they coulda made it happen!
