Haha..it amuses me that little kids are better at computers than he is =P
Lexi, my Spanish teacher has had dreams in Spanish as well. I've taken four years of Spanish, and I actually did have a dream in Spanish. My sister and I were playing a new Grand Theft Auto game. Everything was in Spanish. It was...oddly not strange.
Somebody also said on the Rent secrets that Adam made his kids find the spell-check on the computer.
I didn't see that, but I hope you're not assuming it's necessarily true. Actually, in my generation it's the norm for kids to know more about computers. I'll never forget a five-year-old explaining a video game to my then-boyfriend.

It's obviously not true..how could they possibly know what his kids do? Kids grow up around computers and know a whole lot more than I knew when I was younger. So, yea, they probably do know where the spell check is. I mean but it's still fun to tease Adam a little about his lack of technology knowledge. heh.
"Any secret that Adam made would have countless spelling errors."
"He made his kids find where the spell check was."
I don't believe it. I don't think minds of a 5 year old & like a 3 year old could find it. They probably don't really know how to read yet
I had a dream about Daddy!Adam that I had a couple of nights ago. He was still living in NY, & it was winter. I was randomly at his house & I saw Adam rocking Monty sleep in a blanket
I doubt if Adam has ever looked at Rentsecrets (and I'm beginning to wish I was the same), and even if he had, I can't imagine him ever making one. It seems totally against his character.
The thing is, it would be easy for Adam to get someone to proof-read his blogs, but he obviously doesn't care enough about whether he's made mistakes or not to do that. I think of it as part of the same lack of censorship that allows him to express himself so well in his music.
ETA: I meant to also say that I think your dream is really lovely. That's the nicest Adam dream I've ever heard about.

Chloe's right -- come on, people, I doubt he even knows how to open Paint.
I don't know if I'd call it a lack of censorship as much as a willingness to put something out there without caring about what others will think in the slighest, although both go hand in hand.
OT: This must be Rent week on L&O. Tonight Wilson is on.
I think he does care what people think of his music, but he's still willing to put it out there with all the intensely personal stuff it contains. I think it's also interesting how often he brings up the idea of how performing is self-exposure.
Chloe - hello! yeah I speak both Spanish and English (I'm from Puerto Rico) and I always have. I think in English most of the time (English is less complicated and I can think faster, God, that may sound totally weird). I DO have a thing that bothers me and is that I can't speak for more than 15 minutes in either language without needing the other because sometimes there's a word thats perfect and it doesn't translate.
I can't even imagine how it'll be when I tackle Italian! I guess I'll go bonkers for a while.
Anyway, when you understand a new language is like your eyes see "more", everything is "there" for you to learn. Italian and Spanish are alike like 15% to 30% of the time (French a little less but still you can make out a few things with Spanish.) It feels like walls are bleeding into each other and you've just conquered a new world or something! lol I love words so to me, it's next to nothing!
I'm blabbing again.

I feel so weird not having an actual person in my avatar, but I temporarily had Robert Mitchum from Night of the Hunter and it creeped me out a bit too much, so Chess it is.
True -- I'm sure he does care what others think about his music, but even more than that, I get an overwhelming sense of wanting to stay true to what he wants to do despite others' opinions.
I love how little faith we have in Adam's computer abilities.
Ooh, Lexi, your avatar.

I know. How silly of me to originally think Ordinary Boy was in the same vein as *NSync's Digital Get Down. The person on the other side would probably fall asleep waiting for a response from Adam.
... I really shouldn't have admitted that I listened to that song at any point in my life.

Hahaha, "Digital Getdown"!! Oh man, good times. I miss being 15.

It's a truly horrible song, but my friends and I thought we were extremely cool for getting away with listening to it.
I saw NSYNC in concert.
See, you're not alone, Lexi.
She, I don't know if you've ever heard any of Adam's solo music, but it's worth checking out. There are some samples on www.myspace.com/adampascal.

Hee, Ashley, don't just try to sneak that detail by us like that!
Oooh, yes, She! Check out his music. It's fab, I promise. Well, for the most part. If I had to put my finger on one thing that I really enjoy about it, it's that he approaches a lot of topics in his songs in a very mature manner -- not mature as in explicit, but as in mature love of a significant other and children, loss, etc.

I saw 'N Sync in concert too. I almost saw 98 Degrees too, but my mom wouldn't let me go.
Hee, that's tragic, skittles.
Anyway, I know. I'm just stealth like that. I think that almost every preteen went to some boyband concert or other, though.

I didn't. I was a deprived middle schooler who rather mainly listened to Tori Amos and Ani DiFranco. I did have my fourth-grade Spice Girls phase, though.
I've never been to a real concert.
As a person who listens to everything I have to admit, I still love NSYNC. It takes me back. It's just soo cheesy, it makes me happy.
Having said that I haven't heard Adam's music. I'm extremely afraid.
I'm paranoid about lyrics. NSYNC is a sentimental thing for me, but as a whole, lyrics are my thing.
The concert was the same day as my sister's birthday. I'm bitter.
Rent secrets- why does everyone think that one is Anthony? He already read it months ago; why would he bother making a secret after all this time?
Nothing to be afraid of... unless of course you fail to go check out that myspace. There's a player with three of Adam's songs on it. He writes good lyrics, and his songs are truly from the heart.

Although this probably isn't the time to bring it up, the one thing that does bother me about his lyrics is that he occasionally uses cryptic phrases without even remotely bothering to explain what they might mean. A cellophane sun? Just here to the left of you? (the left?!) It probably only bothers me because I'm quite anal, but Adam dear, throw your listeners some sort of bone.
I should probably mention that otherwise, I've always liked his lyrics. If anything, it took me a while to get into the actual music because it's a bit removed from what I usually listen to.
