orangeskittles - ohhh, I would've given anything back then to see NSYNC live. Aw, moms are like that... Save for mine. I could've told her I was going to camp out in the middle of nowhere with strangers and she'd say "okay" after telling me how she knows I'm a mature girl and how she trusts me. There was ONE time, though, where she wouldn't let me go to this thing and I laugh because she did the right thing. Oh, did she ever!

CanadianSnowbird - you must!! Concerts are mad awesome and not only for the music, which if it rocks, it rocks harder live but for the hoopla going on! One of the best concerts I remember happened when I was 16. The second, hell, the nanosecond, we stepped in there was a naked guy and people throwing food at cops, etc. We had put on make up on a bunch of college guys that we didn't know and I swear, it was like clothed orgy for a second there. Scary, but still, very very fun. The music was so powerful that I was physically chilled, every so minutes I'd feel shocks down my neck. I'll never forget that first song. Rock concerts can be out of body experiences.

Chloe - I guess it's good that all I know about MySpace is that a lot of people have one now.. lol He's a good writer? Nice! I guess I'll venture into his music once he settles on me.

But Lexi, those cryptic phrases give us so much to discuss...

Amy, which secret are they saying Anthony made? I'm trying not to look too much, it just makes me angry. So much of it is a bunch of bull anyway. Some of those people are exactly like a group of snotty high school kids sn*ing about the kids not in their clique among themselves. (I didn't like high school much.)

She, sounds like your mother was pretty cool.

I really, truly do wonder why it's left. I just... I don't know. I've though of a few explanations, but none a really any good.

Maybe you just need to ask him, Em!

I think the most logical explanation is that he's describing walking next to someone specifically in that line, but the topic jumping doesn't make sense.

Chloe, I just don't understand why that group of four or five people can't just exchange AIM usernames and be done with it.

Well, he needs to come back from LA so I can ask him the imperitave question.

I thought left maybe... because left symbolizes deviant acts and the like, but... who knows? It's just like... why pick left? Especially if it's something really simplistic, like "I'm standing here next to you."

siamese dream - Really? When I write "cryptic" messages sometimes I don't even realize they're "cryptic" or I'm being extremely elaborate for no reason (aka, I have writers block or I'm rusty and I'm trying to flex some literary muscle).

Cellophane sun? Hm.... Someone is shinning but nobody sees?

Chloe - she truly is.

What exactly are you trying to ask me? Heh. Yes, it bothers me when artists throw phrases out there without giving any explanation whatsoever as to what they're actually talking about. That pet peeve of mine isn't Adam-centric, though. You have a point in that he might not even realize that he's being cryptic in writing such phrases.

Well, what occurs to me about "just here to the left of you" is that people who are sleeping together usually pick a side of the bed and stick to it, and they don't *have* to be standing up to engage in that particular activity. Still, it's unclear why that phrase is in the song where it is.

Yeah -- it seems like it's a reassurance more than anything, but if you're engaging in said activity, wouldn't you know where the person is? It's not exactly something that you'd need reassurance about.

I sincerely doubt it's true, but I especially doubt that Anthony made it and like 5 people have said something along the lines of "Hi Anthony!" when commenting on this secret.

This one, Chloe

Me? Nothing really, was just saying "Really?" because I don't know how he writes. It does suck, I agree with you. I think Creed wrote lyrics like that in one song just to puzzle people but they didn't really mean anything.

Was it Creed? Heh, terrible memory.

Exactly, and since it's the title of the song, it's obviously not just some random phrase he threw in there. Maybe it's meant to be taken in context with the next two lines:

Know I'm just here to the left of you
And when there's only the dark
I can still see the light in your eyes

It could be a kind of reassurance if it's too dark for them to see each other.

Heh. Considering Creed's, uh, level of talent, I wouldn't be surprised. Tori Amos, for as much as I love her, does it a lot, too. You listen to a song and then realize that the song was essentially comprised of random phrases that probably came to her during an acid trip.

Chloe, I never interpreted the lines about the "light in your eyes" literally at all, but if it's a song that's meant to be viewed on two different levels, maybe it makes more sense to have both the literal interpretation (what you just wrote) and then more of a figurative one. Thanks, skittles, and I agree that Anthony certainly wouldn't make a secret like that. I kind of doubt it was made by a cast member at all.

lol about Creed. My brother used to play them 24-7. Wow, that was fun.

Tori Amos is one of those artists I know I'd like but I never bought a CD. I might start buying some, though. This is a sad time for music, I'll have to keep going back to people like Tori Amos I never had a chance to fully explore. Maybe she has some new stuff, too.

Skittles, I think people are guessing Anthony because he's the most well-known cast member who openly communicates with fans on the internet. I highly doubt he made that secret, but I can see why people are guessing him.

Actually, I'd recommend her older work (i.e. pre-2000) over anything she's done recently. Her latest work is very mediocre and over-produced, at least in comparison to her older work.

I can always send a couple songs your way, too. I'm too lazy and tired tonight, though!

I think I should probably head to bed. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow.

Good Morning! Wow, nice conversation last night, I would have stayed up, but I ould barely keep my eyes open when I posted my last message. You guys were talking about concerts last night, so it's not really OT, but it kinda is. One of my favorite bands is performing today at the Gala in my town, which is suprising to me because my town is so small. This will be my first "real" concert and I'm very excited!

Dancinqueen - I hope you have the best time!
