re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part ten

It didn't even register to me that Larry might not be in LA. You're probably right.

He seems a lot more in his element with a full band. It's strange -- I'll probably always think of him first as a Broadway performer and a rock musician second, but despite that, acoustic shows just don't seem to suit him. They're too subdued.

And hearing him play songs like Something of Ours, Every Time Around, and Model Prisoner when songs like No Trace, The Ringing in My Ear, Tomorrow and the Sun, Ordinary Boy, and The One that Got Away (do I really need to go on...?) are unplayed makes me sad!

I imagine what he chose for the tour was what worked best with Larry. He may go with different stuff for this. That said, those first two songs you mentioned are among my favorites. I love the chorus to Something of Ours, especially

We all want something of ours
To shine like gold
Taste like wine
And bloom like a flower

And I love the acoustic guitar sound on Every Time Around, and the way it soars at the end.

Heh, insert foot in mouth. I should probably clarify that it's not that I don't like the songs I mentioned (the only solo Adam song that I really dislike would be Mother's Child, and only the overdone screaming parts), but I don't feel they're among his best. It's obviously all so subjective, though.

Thanks for posting the chorus to that song, though. I never could understand what he was singing and have never really looked it up.

He's still a lot of fun to watch at the acoustic shows, but you're right, they are very subdued. It's just... kind of thrilling to see him really in his element, rocking out with the full band. You can tell how much he loves it, and that's contagious.

There's that necklace again...
"Blow out the candles, Robert, and make a wish. Want something. Want something."

Wishes come true, not free.

Join the club to be honest...I need to make some more. My apple pie finally disappeared tonight...it was sad.

So um...I got asked out at work tonight...and because I'm dense and don't know much about this stuff...I nearly missed it.

Aren't I the bright one...

Someone I work with. Who knows what'll happen. I thought he was kidding...we don't have anything planned, and he may never speak to me again. I told him I'd be up for something, but instead of throwing a bunch of things out there, I needed a plan.

There needs to be a manual or something for this stuff...so confusing: How to Understand When Boys Are Into You for Dummies. Then, part 2 could be...What To Do When Boys Are Into You for Dummies.

I've lived in Montgomery County my whole life, so it seems odd to me that someone would name their child that.

I know a family with the last name Montgomery, but I never really thought of it as a name.
Went into the city w/ my camp to go take a tour of Madison Sqaure Garden. It was pretty cool. The weather was a different story. Very humid, & muggy. And it was raining super hard w/ thunder & lightning. Bleh.

"Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, take the moment & making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity."

Yeah, the thunder and lightning were pretty heavy.

This has got to be the ultimate eyelash photo.
